My second c section was elective and it was so calm and organised, having my third section in May and I feel very relaxed about it after having a positive experience last time round. Wishing you all the best ❤️

Make a playlist of calming or happy music, your hospital should let you play that in the theatre. And practice breathing techniques ahead of time, so that if you do feel any moments of stress or worry you’ll be equipped to calm yourself. Hope you have a positive experience!

Honestly darling it’s not that bad like I had my son in 30 mins didn’t feel a thing now when your healing take pain relief every 4 hours your just very tender but you really can manage it completely I promise

Definitely recommend taking a Stanley cup sort of cup and loading it with ice to munch on whilst you wait. Works wonders for the nerves and also helps if you’re elective gets delayed. Definitely look up and practice breathing exercises if you’re feeling anxious xx if you’re screamish with blood ect DO NOT look into the surgical light above you as it is reflective (I learnt that the hard way) 😂 hope you have a positive experience and enjoy meeting your little one for the first time xx

I had an emergency section 2 weeks ago and honestly it went so well. definitely try not to panic as it won't be anywhere near as bad as you think. I went into theatre and I think it was about 10 minutes max and she was here, I had the spinal injection and didn't feel a thing, I was scared I'd feel parts of it but you really don't. they were all so lovely and kept talking to me to keep me distracted so it was a really nice experience for me especially with this being my first child. recovery's also going really well, just keep on top of any painkillers they give you as they really help me obviously might be different for others but they've been a great help. I would ask for laxatives too when you start going to the toilet normally as it really hurt for me and I've only just asked for some 😭 they'd probably be a big help as well so just try whatever they offer you I'd say and definitely rest up as much as you can as I think I've tried to do things as I used to too quickly 😅

Once they give you the epidural you won't feel anything don't worry.
