Loneliness.

I have no friends, no one to talk to, no one to be with. Being a single mother is incredibly lonely. My support system isn’t there, and I don’t know how much longer I can live like this. I always see other mothers with strong support systems — friends, partners, people around them. I never thought this would be my life. I never thought I’d be in a position where I feel this desperate for a friend.

We're quite far away but I'd love to be friends! Im also a single mom with a 10mo daughter, and my only support is my mom, it would be so nice to have other mom friends

Bless you. I live in Manchester, so I’m a bit far, but I’d be your friend. I have no friends either, but I’m older than you and I find it easier accepting having no friends the older I’ve gotten. You’re only 18 though, so I feel for you because it must be tough. Reach out if you ever want to talk x

I feel you 1000%. Single mom without basically any friends. Been like this for many years. I used to have friends a lot but everything is changed and I have no mom friends. I wish we could live closer to each other and meet up, but sadly I live far away 💔 wish you all the best!!

I totally understand you girl, I pretty much have no friends and the only friends I do have I never see them so I pretty much do things on my own, I understand the feeling of just needing a friend to relate to because I feel the exact same way so always here if you need someone, even if it’s just for a chat! Us mums need to stick together especially us young ones x🩷

Anyone?

I’m looking for a friend who understands Mom life in life with a kid. I realized a couple weeks ago that I don’t have anyone other than my fiancé. And I want a friend or friends that I can become super close to and possibly even my best friend. I’m getting married next year and the lady who’s my maid of honor doesn’t even consider me her best friend.. I’m open to FaceTime me and getting coffee together and meeting up and having play dates. Someone to cry with, laugh with, watch funny and scary movies with, and have inside jokes with. (Picture so post doesn’t get lost)

Contraception

Just after some advice on contraception…

I’m 35 and never used any form of it. Due to PCOS, I was always told I would need intervention to get pregnant, I did a year on Mounjaro and this helped bring back my periods and eventually ended up pregnant, which was a massive blessing for us. But wasn’t planned as such. We just didn’t do anything to prevent it.

Once LO one was born, I remember one of the first conversations thrown down your neck at the hospital was contraception and because I’ve never looked into any of it I said I wasn’t interested.

It was then brought u at my PP check up the other day, and again, I said i hadn’t thought about it.

There’s so may different options and in just after a bit of advice of which route to go down (I’m starting mounjaro again, so don’t want 2 under 2) x

Please I feel miserable no one is hearing me

I need some advice because I feel like I’m being misunderstood, and I genuinely want an outside perspective.

For some background, I have a boyfriend who has a son from a previous relationship, and we also have a daughter together. Who is my first. During my pregnancy, my boyfriend cheated on me with his son’s mother and multiple other women. There was a lot of disrespect and hurt surrounding that situation, and it was especially painful because I was pregnant at the time. His brother also teamed up with his son’s mother to put me down, and his mother has dismissed the cheating situation as “nonsense.” These experiences have affected how comfortable and accepted I feel around his family. His step mom and everyone else says it doesn’t compare. Bf says I’m ungrateful because his family has done everything for my daughter.

On my side, there has also been conflict. My boyfriend was giving my mother money for rent, but she was using the money for herself instead of putting it toward the rent arrears. Understandably, this caused a lot of anger and resentment between my boyfriend and my family. Hurtful things were said on both sides, and my mother has said some very hurtful things to me, too.

Because of everything that happened, my boyfriend refuses to let me take our daughter to visit my family. It hurts to see his family and all his toddler nieces and nephews go out to get food and no one invites me or even ask. They do family outings and I can’t have mine. He said this is my family now. I understand why he is angry, and I am not excusing what my mother did. However, I miss my family. I miss my siblings, my dog, and being around people I’ve known my whole life. I also want my daughter to have the opportunity to know my side of the family, provided those relationships are safe and healthy for her.

Recently, I opened up to my boyfriend’s family about feeling left out and awkward because I don’t know them very well. I also admitted that I miss my family. Their response was that I cannot compare my boyfriend cheating on me to my family being disrespectful to me, because the situations are different.

But I wasn’t necessarily trying to compare them. I know both situations are hurtful in different ways. I was trying to express how I feel and explain that I miss my family, too. I feel like I am expected to understand everyone’s hurt, but when I express mine, it gets dismissed or turned into a comparison.

I already feel like an outsider in my boyfriend’s family because of the cheating, the disrespect, and the way certain family members have treated me. Now I feel guilty for even expressing that I miss my own family.

Am I wrong for feeling this way? Am I wrong for wanting to maintain a relationship with my siblings and wanting my daughter to know my side of the family, even after what my mother did? How do I navigate this situation without dismissing my boyfriend’s feelings but also without completely sacrificing my own emotional needs?

I genuinely want honest advice because I know my family isn’t innocent in this situation, but I don’t think that means my feelings should be dismissed either.

Love or trauma bond.

For those of you who can honeslty say they are in a great relationship with whom they love. How do you know you love that person?

How do you know its love and not just a trauma bond.
