Hey c section mums
Anyone had to have a planned section due to medical reasons but feel like such a failure for not having vaginal birth? This is only really becoming more of a recent thing as I have a toddler at 2 and probably thinking of having the next so the VBAC/Section dilemma will be coming my way again.

i had preeclampsia with my daughter. i had induced labor for 4 days. when they told me i had to have a c section i just cried. i felt like i failed. my body failed. i failed my child. i failed myself. i felt horrible. but after a while i realized i was a c section baby and it had 0 influence in the way i love my mom. feeling some guilt is normal, but you and your baby are healthy and happy! ♥️

Same here , first baby emergency c section . Felt so bad so second baby i managed a vaginal birth . The most traumatic time of my life .. and i now understand some womans can not do vaginal and its ok ! I am expecting my 3rd for may and i have decided to have a plan c section :) . X

Same here, I was always told that my baby measured big, and they got me scared about shoulder dystocia, and told me that I should have an induction and I just went along as it was my first pregnancy. Baby came out weighing 3,600kg which is not as big as they told me would be , and it was only 39 + 3. In the end I didn’t dilate enough, because also I went there at 11am and they just broke my water at 21:30, and then had to have a c section bc next day at around 1pm I was at 6cm dilated but at 3am bc of the hormone baby’s heart rate went down so we stopped it, so doctor told me I was running out of time and if I didn’t turn on the hormone again I wouldn’t have much chance of vaginal birth and I was beyond exhausted, so we went in for c section . I feel I was pushed into their own decisions, and have cried about it but I tell me myself I couldn’t know better

I saw this and I wanted to comment right away . First off you are entitled to feel the way you feel as a woman we feel it's out body's job to give birth naturally alot of us do i did aswell I was forced to have a emergency c section due to pre eclampsia and other conditions my son was born at 32+2 weeks 1.5kg he was in the nicu for a month I have what they called post natal ptsd a c section in emergency situations can result in some trama I would say don't be ashamed if how you feel speak to someone to help with your grief x

I had an unplanned planned one. Like it wasnt an emergency. I didnt go in expecting kne. But his heart rate wasnt cooperating and I had to have one.
Im pregnant with baby #2 and am planning a c section and i feel so much guilt.

I had an unplanned c section and I remember feeling like I failed even before coming into the hospital. Water never broke or started contractions a week after my due date & was in labor for almost 2 days before we made the decision! I think it’s because I didn’t get my golden hour but at the end of the day my baby is here safe and healthy almost one at that 😭 pregnancy and parenthood is full of surprises and mountains to climb🫶🏻

I don’t honestly know why people say a c-section is taking the easy road as it was hard as hell for me (and my baby)! So whilst I understand your dilemma I personally refuse to think I’m not good enough for not being able to have a vaginal birth (a caesarian was my only medically viable birth option) and I’m just incredibly grateful every day that my baby boy is alive and well.

Literally never even crossed my mind.

I wanted to feel the whole experience but I had 2 c section due to my uterus being heart shaped

I had a C-section due to breach for my first and was distraught. Planned for a vbac for my second, had an induction and ended up rupturring. We were both fine, but it was scary. I was extremely upset with needing a section with my first and now i've just accepted that I'm not meant to give birth vaginally and it is what it is. I have two crazy kids and I grew them with my body, went through a major surgery to bring them into the world and nourished them from my body. I've done enough, I am enough.
I just joke and say that I'm good at growing the kids, and feeding the kids just not very good at getting them out 😅
Hey mums, 20 days post emergency c section after a failed induction at 39 weeks. I experienced placental abruption and then developed sepsis after birth spent 5 days in hospital in total.
I was in so much pain and experienced a lot of trauma from the c-section including being on oxygen etc. Did anyone else experience anything similar and how did you find recovery? It’s been tough🩵

I'd do it all over again for that beautiful face. Meet babygirl Charlize born on September 16th 2026 at 1:52pm. Can only post her pics here cause Dad doesn't want them all over my other social media pages.

Looking for anyone who’s had a similar experience! Up until now my baby has been very active through the day with strong punches and kicks but over the past 48 hours, the movements have changed to more gentle rolls and bulges. I also think he’s sitting low as I’ve been feeling pressure and some aching down there. Would appreciate hearing if anyone’s had anything similar!

Hi guys. Had my anamoly scan today. They informed it will be baby girl. But they checked once and then confirmed. But is there any chance it could be wrong?
Though I am happy to have a girl and preferred to have girl but I wasn’t convinced by my midwife as she checked only once🫣

I’m 37 weeks with my second baby. First baby was a vaginal birth (not a good experience in honesty but that’s a story for another day!), but this baby is breech and has been for at least 10 weeks 🫠 So I’m facing the potential of needing an elective section.
I am trying to come to terms with it, but my biggest worry is the spinal. Does anyone have any positive c section stories - especially any reassurance about the spinal is welcomed 🙏
Photo just so I don’t get lost 😊

Had midwife appointment today, baby is 3/5 engaged! Currently 38+3. Hoping she comes soon but I know it doesn't really mean a lot 😂
Have a sweep booked in next week if nothing happens before. Never had one before so feel a bit nervous for it, whats it like? Does it work? I've heard conflicting things but hoping to get baby out before due date to avoid c-section!
3rd baby if that makes any difference 🤷♀️ 1st was born 40+1 spontaneous labour, 2nd was c section, so hoping for vbac this time round 🤞🏻 however have agreed to repeat section if i hit due date and nothing has happened.
