Before having my baby, my relationship with my husband was very good. It was actually rare for us to argue. Now that we have a daughter—she’s 9 months old—I feel like our relationship has become very different and chaotic. There isn’t a single time we go out without arguing about something, whether it’s because we’re running late, we forgot something, or the baby starts crying. I could make an endless list.
It’s worth mentioning that since the baby was born, we haven’t had any couple time, and honestly, I don’t know what to do to improve things. Is anyone else here in the same situation?

After having a baby, a woman’s brain literally rewires (postpartum neuroplasticity). The amygdala becomes more sensitive, oxytocin increases, and we go into protective hypervigilance mode. We notice risks and problems we didn’t before. It’s biological, not personal. The mismatch between partners’ brain changes can create tension.

Can you plan a night out? A lunch on the weekend? The first year is SO hard on marriages, even the strongest. Couples therapy could help too just to talk things out! We did! It helped tremendously. You also NEED breaks outside the house, from each other and the baby. Can you ask family or friends to give you both a small break?

Talk, talk, talk. It's totally normal tl feel this way. Your relationship changes drastically after you've had a baby. You have a tiny human being who relies on you for survival almost constantly. Yiur relationship with the non-depentant becomes secondary, whether you intend it or not. Make time to talk and rebuild your intimacy step by step. I suggest starting with an honest exchange on how you both feel and what you need to rebuild it.

Take a breath, give yourself grace and them too. Remember you two are a team and you made that Lil life together...verify your safe space between you too. do daily check ins with each other verbally even if its a few minutes, ask for feedback, give feedback. When stuff bothers you address it in the team and no third parties, flirt with physical touch and words of affirmation and or travel down memory lane with pictures or situations yall grew through.... hopefully implementing some of that works as it did for us to reassure we still saw each other and that when times got hard we were each others rock.

Yes as women when we have babies our brain change so there is that but not enough people talk about how men change after a baby is born because some of them got you pregnant just to trap you into domestic slavery. I’m not saying that’s OP’s case but we need to talk about that more. It’s not just women who change. It can be the man showing his true colors post birth.
Heyyy!!
We have been advised from the GP that we no longer need to wake our 7 week old to feed at night. However, at the 7 hour mark I tend to wake her as I worry about her sugar levels etc. When I do wake her she is really hard to wake. I do the usual nappy change, tickle her feet but can take about 20 mins for her to wake up. I have been told she is a healthy weight but I worry that this many hours is too long for her little age. Am I wrong for waking her after 7 hours?
(She is formula fed and currently weighs 12 pound)

My little one is 2y 2m old. She has just all of a sudden stopped napping. Nursery told me they spend half hour with her and she won't sleep and same at home. I'm really worried nursery will stop trying. But she just will not settle down at all all of a sudden. Help please. It's way too early for her to drop the nap!

My little boy (white/black Caribbean) has almost two hair textures, he has quite loose soft curls at the front but then an almost Afro texture in the back which goes wild. I use the only curls products for kids (shampoo, conditioner, detangle spray and styler) but after he sleeps it just goes crazy. It’s super knotty at the back so he doesn’t tolerate any brushing/combing - I only just manage with a fight when it’s wet.
Any tips on handling the back section? Heavy products don’t seem to work well given how soft it is in the front.

She’s 14 weeks. Yesterday we decided to try putting her to bed at 8pm (she usually just comes with us at around 10/11). So we bathed, boobed and transferred to bed by 8. We kept the room dark and she slept there for an hour before waking up. I then took her back with me but she continued sleeping until 11. Woke up at 11, had her nappy changed. All happy as can be. Then slept until 3. Breastfed. Nappy changed at 5. Breastfed. Slept until 7, breastfed. Still asleep now at 11am?
Is this normal? She’s still having wet nappies, feeding, etc. should I wake her? She started trying to roll to her front yesterday, so idk if she’s just tired from the workout 😅

It’s my daughter birthday next week and I was thinking about getting her a trike I really like the little Dutch one but then I’m thinking would I actually use it because it’s nearly winter so she’ll be in her pram a lot with foot muff and we don’t seem to go out a lot in pram whilst she’s awake.
Opinions if you’ve got one do you use it or waste of money?

My baby is really congested overnight. She’s always congested - but particularly more snorty after a bottle of Kendamil. She’s primarily breast fed with one bottle of formula a day in the afternoon. Her poops are also explosive and look like this. Does this look like CMPA, so sorry for the photo! Two first poops from two different mornings. Will add the second to the comments.
