Scared of asking my new landlord to drill holes

How would you ask your new landlord to drill holes for shelves and gym accessories provided that you have the intention to refill and paint when you live? My landlady has kindly warned me that if I was putting a stage gate for my baby, I should remove any visible holes afterwards but didn’t mention if I wanted to do anything else. I’m being careful as my previous landlady didn’t renew my contract when she found out I had a baby and I had to move out with a 4 months baby which was quite panicky! I don’t what to ask or do something that would annoy my landlady but at the same time, I’d like to be able to fell home. Thanks for reading xx

There shouldn’t be an issue with that! Do you even need to ask permission for that? That’s just pretty standard stuff I’d have thought. If you do need to ask, then I’d send a message saying how you’d like to make the place feel more homely and that you’d like shelving up etc would that be ok, and just explain you have the intention to put it back as it was if/when you leave. Most landlords should be absolutely fine with that, it’s meant to be your home!x

That’s what I thought but as it’s not authorised on the contract and I’m not from the UK, I’m not sure what is acceptable or not. I would have preferred to not ask but I’m a bit worried that I could need her or her husband to come around if something doesn’t work and be awkward because I didn’t ask

EYFS Nursery

Anyone encountered something in nursery that required some form of feedback or complain?

from what I’m reading, nurseries are supposed to meet individual baby needs and not make them follow nursery schedule.
But most time they said they tried, but never did and make baby follow their own time due to lack of staff.

For example when they r supposed to put baby to sleep or feed milk, they say they can’t (and tried) but in actual fact they have not tried. Inconsistent updates from different nursery staff as well.

I’m worried. If basic updates are inconsistent even. How are we even gonna be at ease when we send our babies there?

Husband annoyed at our toddler for making a mess

My husband works and I’m a SAHM, and he was working from home today. Our 2-year-old was whinging and didn’t want to go out, even though I asked her so many times. So she was playing in the living room, and obviously it was a mess, toys all over the floor and some papers because she was drawing.

Then my husband came in and started telling our daughter off for whinging and telling her to be nice to me. He was also complaining about the living room being messy. Like, really?! We have a toddler! What is that attitude?!

I’m honestly so annoyed. And I was cooking while my toddler was playing, btw, and now I’m not even going to cook anymore.

Baby food pouches

Anyone using baby food pouches? I'm just wondering how bad they are as I had googled and it says it's not advisable to use these regularly. I find blending a small amount of food after steaming and pan frying them, takes so much effort and time if I do these by myself from scratch.

Is this fair or am I being emotional?

My son is a week and five days old, and I suggested that my boyfriend sleeps in the living room Sunday through Thursday because he works 12–14 hour days. On Friday and Saturday nights, he sleeps in the room with me to help, but honestly, he barely gets up for bottles or diaper changes. Most of the time, he just wakes up to keep me company, and sometimes when he does get up to get a bottle, he ends up falling asleep on the couch waiting for the bottle to finish warming up.
I know he works really hard and I’m genuinely grateful that he works so much so I can stay home with our son, and I don’t want him to feel like I don’t appreciate everything he does for us. At the same time, I’m exhausted and I feel like I need more actual help with the baby, not just company. I feel guilty even bringing it up because I know he’s tired too, but I’m also recovering and with a newborn and episiotomy stitches and I feel like I’m on the clock 24/7. Is it fair for me to ask him to sleep in the room and help even though he works or to just help more when he’s home or am I being too emotional about it? I’d really like to hear what other moms think. I also have a 17 week old puppy to take care of on top of everything 😓

Rant!!

Ok so it can't just be me but I need to get it off my chest or i may just combust.
Anyone else's partner just not seeing your needs as a thing that need to be met anymore? And I don't mean big specific things, but general shit, like showering and having 5 minutes of not being touched. My LO will be 5 months on sunday and it seems as thought as long as i see to what he needs and the baby and the dog and house fuck what I need. I have litrally just said to him tonight I really want to shower and feel fresh, baring in mind I haven't showered in like 4 days (litrally a sink wash when I have 30 seconds) and the response was ok. He then went and showered after I bathed our LO and settled her to bed. Now 10pm, I still haven't showered!!
I dont know how much more I can take. I do everything, all the time and I get he is at work but I just want like 5 minutes without worrying about the LO to go have a second to myself and see to a basic need.
I dont think he grasps that he basically just goes and does what he wants, when he wants and how he wants whenever but I have to constantly ask him to watch her or do somwthing so I can meet my own basic needs like eating, or on the rare occasion lately shower. Like ffs. I really don't think I can take much more. I feel like I might as well be trying to do it all on my own because I pretty much am anyway!
Please someone tell me it gets better.
