Has anyone switched from a sleeping bag to a pillow and duvet? We really want to try a duvet now that baby girl is older but we’re absolutely terrified🙈🙈

I haven't, but following as curious

We haven’t yet, also curious! Our little girl is such a fidget and still moves all around the crib, so too nervous to try 🙈😂

Following also as would like to swap but my boy is such a fidget all night long I’m not sure how best to transition from his sleep sack.

I’ve given my boy a pillow and he loves it, I am toying with the idea of giving him a duvet too because he has started finding his sleep sack annoying and just wants to have his feet free

I personally wouldn’t rush it, especially if they’re happy with a sleeping bag…I didn’t switch my older girl til she was past 2 years old. And even then I remember going in to put the duvet back on her multiple times a night as she still moved around quite abit x

I'm not giving her a blanket until she is in a toddler bed. I might give her a pillow around 18 months, but she moves around her cot a bit too much right now for me to feel comfortable giving her one

We have given a pillow but he’s not interested, usually he sleeps as far away from it as possible 😂 at this age my daughter had a pillow and duvet for around a month already and she loved it! He just isn’t ready for it so I’m not rushing it. We moved my daughter because she was really tall and the sleeping bags were too wee for her, I was fed up of buying loads and then not fitting so moved to duvet and she done great. Once sleeping bags become an issue or I feel he’s ready I’ll switch my son over x

I wouldn’t rush it either especially if you’re terrified, I would be too at this age if I’m honest! Didn’t swap my older daughter over till after was 2 when I was struggling to find a larger sleeping bag, and she still ends up with the duvet off her a lot of the time.

I’m having my first baby in January and my mum asked me today whether I’d like her to be in the room alongside my husband for the birth of little boy. I could tell she asked because it’s something she really wants but I felt it was important to be honest and say that I really just want it to be my husband and I, but would absolutely love for her to be in the waiting room and the first to meet him after us.
I received a really hostile response back and she told me that her best friend witnessed her daughter’s birth and she feels like I don’t love her as much / im not listening to her feelings because I don’t want to go down that route. It then became quite a negative conversation around how she feels left behind and that I only go to her ‘when I need something’.
It’s made me feel really emotional and turbulent and it’s made me feel quite sad because I feel like she’s not listening to what I want and my boundaries but instead making me feel bad for what is ultimately my decision.
Has anyone had something similar happen? How did you navigate the conversation after?

My 10 week old has always been very attracted to me from the start and early on when I put her down in the bouncer or the mat to play she woukd start to cry after 10-20 minutes. Recently its gotten alot worse to the point she starts to cry as soon as I lower her down or bring her away from me. The only time she's happy and not crying when im not holding her is nappy changes, she rarely does tummy time on the mat as she will just scream the place down (she does it on my chest instead).
Will she grow out of this or is there anything I can do to settle her when I put her down, ive tried toys, lights, singing, books but nothing works unless I pick her up. I feel bad that nothing gets done around the house or that I dont get 5 minutes to myself. Shes exclusively bf.

Has anyone else experienced this with their little one? 🥹💗
My little girl is nearly 7 weeks old and during the day she’s generally absolutely fine, but as soon as nighttime comes around, it’s like a switch flips!
She screams and cries, sometimes for hours, and it feels like nothing I do settles her. I’ve tried feeding, winding, changing, cuddling. I even started her on infacol and giving her gripe water.
The strange thing is that it’s only at night! During the day she’s a completely different baby.
Has anyone else gone through this? Is it just a phase, witching hour, colic or something else? When did it get better for you?
I’m absolutely exhausted and have no idea what else to try.

Hi mums! Has anyone experienced their Owlet sock giving a red alert for oxygen levels dropping below 80%?
This has happened twice now with my 7-month-old daughter, both times while she’s been sleeping on her tummy. Each time I’ve gone straight in to check on her and she’s been absolutely fine - breathing normally, responsive and sleeping peacefully.
What’s confusing me is that the Owlet seems to work perfectly fine the rest of the night, and on other nights, showing completely normal oxygen levels. Even when I check the history after the alerts, her oxygen levels look normal, although I understand the graph shows averages.
She’s also recently had a cold and still has a slightly congested, runny nose, so I’m wondering whether that could be contributing.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Did you get your baby’s oxygen or breathing checked by a doctor, and was anything actually found? Or did it turn out to be false alerts from the Owlet?
