3-4 month regression

Anyone else dealing with the 3-4 month regression? She wakes up 4-6 times a night for several weeks and I’m working full time. Sometimes I’m up with her for 3-4 hours in the middle of the night bc I literally can’t fall asleep in between feeds. My husband refuses to help. I’m exhausted. I solely breast feed and have a small freezer stash of breast milk for daycare and can’t afford to use any of it when I’m home or I’ll run out. Considering bringing formula in to fill her up at night. Any suggestions?

First of all I’m so sorry that your husband refuses to help you! Second I solely breast feed as well and my girl is also 3-1/2 months. She’s been in a regression for about a week on top of dealing with an allergy to shellfish (found that out the hard way) and its exhausting so kudos to you for tackling this while working full time!

I know this is super difficult for you but if you feel the need to give her formula just a few times in the evening or some for day care then do it. She will still be getting the good stuff most of her time. It will help give you a break and as for your husband force him awake to help and give him his specific task for evening shift. Ive noticed guys like to be told what to do they don’t just assume a task. My husband is in charge of diapering at night and if needed making the bottle.

If you have to bring formula into the equation to protect your body and mind, please don’t feel guilty about it. You are doing your best and that is all you can do. Maybe just try it for the night time feeds to see if it helps?

I have also been dealing with sleep regression since my daughter turned 11 weeks old- you’re not alone mama! I can’t imagine dealing with it while back to work, I’m sorry it’s so hard on you. Just keep reminding yourself it is only a season, and yes if both you and your husband are working full time he should be helping at night! Agreed with the above to give him a really specific task- after you feed have him do the diaper and rock back to sleep so you can get back to sleep sooner. Also only need to do diaper if bay is leaking or has pooped- otherwise leave it so they fall back asleep faster! If you think formula would help the do it - But typically breast milk helps put baby and you back to sleep faster because of the melatonin you produce, so unless it’s for hubby to be able to help then formula may not make things much easier. From the research I have done formula does not actually change sleep duration at night vs breast milk

“How babies sleep” is a great book that you may find helpful in this season!

I’m really sorry your husband is not helping. Being a parent is a very hard job. My husband and I take shifts (bedtime to 1 am and 1 am to wake up). He does help with bottles of pumped breast milk for the middle of the night feeding at times. I still have to get up and pump, but not have to do the rocking/getting back to sleep. We have started working on gentle sleep training by putting her down drowsy but awake so that she learns to put herself to sleep when she fully wakes from each cycle (as I think we are going through the regression as well given she wakes every cycle). We also just moved her to her crib at 3.5 months. She was getting too big for the bassinet and ending up with her face to the side of the bassinet. She has been giving us a good 4-5 hour stretch at first. We are still dealing with wake ups after the middle of the night feed until morning because sleep pressure isn’t as high but she’s getting better at putting herself to sleep.

Binky after 6+ months?

So my son has recently turned 6 months and a week or so. I wanted to know what you guys are doing binky wise? Are you weening or ? Because I have only been letting or giving him his when he cry’s super bad having a hard time sleeping or if he grabs it himself. Doing it this way I have noticed him slowly put the binky down himself but maybe I’m moving too early?

Took my 4 year old last night to the Er with a ear infection. They asked her two questions “Donyou feel safe at home ? She reply no . Does any one hurt you she reply big bubba .

Okay ladies this is not true . Her and her big bubba wrestle and play fight . And I honestly don’t think she understood the first question . I’m freaking out and wondering if I will get CPS on me

3 month baby lost most of her hair?

Hey all - my 3 month old has lost almost all her hair 😢 she looks like Groundskeeper Willy right now. She has a bit of cradle cap, but the hair lost is a ring around her head. Is this expected? She was my little ginger haired girl 🥺

Unbelievable

My MIL told my husband that I should be breastfeeding(nursing) and that pumping is not the right way to feed my baby….
Anyone else thinks that’s wild??

Maternity bralettes

Hi ladies, I’m looking for recommendations for natural material (cotton, bamboo, etc) padded bralettes.

I’m a 23 weeks pregnant with a very small chest but wide back. I’ve always been blessed that I can wear bralettes and looking for some that I can wear now and for breastfeeding that have some padding so my nips don’t show 😅 I’m also very aware that my boobs should be getting bigger later on so a bit unsure about sizing if anyone has any advice. Thanks ❤️

Olbas Oil

My 11 week old is really congested and struggling with a cold. The infant olbas oil says unsuitable for under 3 months. I think I’m just paranoid, but will we be okay to use it? And if so how is best to use it?
