Oh it’s tough ! Lack of sleep , healing , hormones going mad it’s not easy ❤️❤️ you will sleep soon again. The beginning is the worse when baby wants to eat all the time!! But it will get easier soon!!

I just don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel at the moment and she’s my second - I don’t even remember the newborn days with my first I think I’ve blocked it out x

I recommend co-sleeping if you want to get good rest

things will get better mama! i promise! right now everything feels all wrapped up in the beautiful chaos that comes with bringing a new baby home. the light is hidden in there somewhere. i had RAGING anxiety after having my daughter, i talked to my doctor and she put me on some medications. maybe that’s an idea? some people just don’t want meds so if that’s you, then do you! when my daughter wasn’t sleeping and i was struggling, i resorted to co sleeping when she was about 2-3 months. we both slept better! ever since she was 10 months she’s started sleeping in her own crib and now at 13 months she sleeps in her own crib, and puts herself to sleep!
once baby girl gets to be sleeping longer stretches, you’ll sleep so much better. i’ve only had one kid but i hope you get some relief soon. hang in there girl♥️

Im going through the same thing honey 5.5 weeks here. Everyday I just dread the 24 hours ahead. They say sleep when baby sleeps but thats unrealistic.
Im always here to chat

It gets easier around week 9-10 as babies starts to develop melatonin the sleep hormone and will start sleeping longer throughout the night. Before then my husband and I had to take turn as our baby would only sleep when held so we had to take turn and sleep 2-3 hours each that’s the only way we survived the newborn stage. You will get there just hang in there the start is also difficult

Thank you everyone for your encouraging words! It means a lot I think the trenches are just real at the moment and I’m hoping soon it will get easier xxx

I echo all these ladies’ advice. You will sleep again and this is temporary. If you can safely cosleep, it’s a game changer. Google Safe Sleep 7 by La Leche League. Hugs Mama. Stay strong. 💗💪

I promise you, you will sleep again. They are just babies. Do you have anyone who can watch over your baby a bit so you can get a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep? The newborn trenches are really bad and they will pass. Check if you can practice safe co sleeping, it helped me a lot. Once you get some good sleep, you will feel much better.

Sonographer couldn't guess the gender at 18 weeks!

So I went for a gender scan today at exactly 18 weeks pregnant. The baby was soo active, it wouldn't sit still at all. So it made it very difficult and awkward to guess it's gender. It looked like a GIRL at first when we looked between the legs, as it was flat. But then on a side view, we could see something cropping up from the hips above the legs. So it looked like a BOY! The sonographer said she was unable to tell, so we rebooked the scan in 2 weeks. Is this normal? Has anyone else had instances where they couldn't find the gender? ...

Also I've added pictures of my baby scans from 8 week (Top), 12 weeks (Middle) and the 18 weeks (Bottom) scans for you to please guess if you can identify what you think it'll be? I'm sooo curious!

Advice/ Reassurance

Hey Guys! I’m 36 weeks and had my growth scan yesterday. Consultant advised that baby is transverse. Have to go back for presentation scan at 37 weeks and if no change, will have be admitted to hospital until a planned C-Section as they don’t want to risk natural labour. Anyone else been through something similar?
Thanks!

C-section Trauma
Anyone else have a similar experience?

So for my first baby, I ended up getting preeclampsia so I got induced which ended up an emergency C-section for my second. I was given the option to do vaginal birth, or C-section at first I was fairly confident in my decision of choosing a C-section for familiarity however, the closer I got to my scheduled appointment it just felt wrong, I was getting more nervous and sad that I would be missing out on the opportunity to actually try to have a vaginal birth. I’d already taken the week off prior to my scheduled surgery to help prepare myself and would have loved to have just waited it out till he came on his own
however, I had a strict two months of leave time so if I were to have pushed past my appointment date to try and wait for vaginal birth, I would’ve been losing out on the time with my baby before I went back to work waiting for him to come. And the familiarity i thought I would have, I realized things were gonna be completely different. I was rushed in to my first C-section and while laboring, I was basically being prepped for it. My epidural already placed and catheter put in. For my scheduled C-section, I’d have to arrive two hours early and go through all the prep. By the time I arrived to the hospital, I was practically terrified for my surgery. I had the shakes before even going into surgery and even worse while in surgery I practically threw up the whole time. Thankfully, I was able to get skin to skin contact with my baby this time around during surgery instead of being knocked out at the end like last time, but I feel this time around was more traumatic than my emergency C-section, which left me with really bad postpartum and because I was so shut down from my surgery it took me almost 3 weeks to feel connected to my baby and I’ll never get that time back.
