So for my first baby, I ended up getting preeclampsia so I got induced which ended up an emergency C-section for my second. I was given the option to do vaginal birth, or C-section at first I was fairly confident in my decision of choosing a C-section for familiarity however, the closer I got to my scheduled appointment it just felt wrong, I was getting more nervous and sad that I would be missing out on the opportunity to actually try to have a vaginal birth. I’d already taken the week off prior to my scheduled surgery to help prepare myself and would have loved to have just waited it out till he came on his own
however, I had a strict two months of leave time so if I were to have pushed past my appointment date to try and wait for vaginal birth, I would’ve been losing out on the time with my baby before I went back to work waiting for him to come. And the familiarity i thought I would have, I realized things were gonna be completely different. I was rushed in to my first C-section and while laboring, I was basically being prepped for it. My epidural already placed and catheter put in. For my scheduled C-section, I’d have to arrive two hours early and go through all the prep. By the time I arrived to the hospital, I was practically terrified for my surgery. I had the shakes before even going into surgery and even worse while in surgery I practically threw up the whole time. Thankfully, I was able to get skin to skin contact with my baby this time around during surgery instead of being knocked out at the end like last time, but I feel this time around was more traumatic than my emergency C-section, which left me with really bad postpartum and because I was so shut down from my surgery it took me almost 3 weeks to feel connected to my baby and I’ll never get that time back.

I had been blue lighted into hospital and was scheduled to have an elective c-section, I then ended up having an emergency c-section due to a placenta abruption (me and my wife only found out about the abruption after surgery). We suffered from a form of trauma leading up to the birth of our daughter but were both pleased that they managed to get her out safely and she’s now 9 weeks old xxx

I had an emergency c section under general anaesthetic, the whole with was very traumatic as all the prep , catheter etc had to be done prior to anaesthetic, as someone who avoids blood tests, surgery is a huge thing to me and I spent my entire pregnancy planning for a vaginal birth. I didn’t get skin to skin, hear my sons first cry, feed him first etc etc it was all very traumatic and I had a very difficult recovery. I really struggled mentally as I felt to had missed out & failed etc, I’ve got a birth reflection appt next month so I hope it gives me more answers
So I went for a gender scan today at exactly 18 weeks pregnant. The baby was soo active, it wouldn't sit still at all. So it made it very difficult and awkward to guess it's gender. It looked like a GIRL at first when we looked between the legs, as it was flat. But then on a side view, we could see something cropping up from the hips above the legs. So it looked like a BOY! The sonographer said she was unable to tell, so we rebooked the scan in 2 weeks. Is this normal? Has anyone else had instances where they couldn't find the gender? ...
Also I've added pictures of my baby scans from 8 week (Top), 12 weeks (Middle) and the 18 weeks (Bottom) scans for you to please guess if you can identify what you think it'll be? I'm sooo curious!

Hey Guys! I’m 36 weeks and had my growth scan yesterday. Consultant advised that baby is transverse. Have to go back for presentation scan at 37 weeks and if no change, will have be admitted to hospital until a planned C-Section as they don’t want to risk natural labour. Anyone else been through something similar?
Thanks!

I’m currently 35 weeks with twins, the first picture was from 3 days ago, now today my bump is the one on the right. I feel very flat but have had a lot of pelvic pressure last night and today. The drop never happened in my previous pregnancy. Has anyone had the same ?x

I am 31 weeks and now properly struggling with acid reflux and indigestion.
I am going to request some omeprezole on Monday from my GP but is there anything that has saved anyone else?
