Planning for potty training in the coming weeks. I know you want to let them feel wet and I'm happy embracing the inevitable accidents on the floor etc but how are people protecting sofas? Are potty training pants worth it. I don't want to confuse him if they absorb too much. But he loves sitting on the sofa to read stories etc

My girl has been potty trained since the beginning of the year and hasn’t had an accident on the sofa. I probably wouldn’t bother with training pants, just get a pack of puppy pads to lay across the sofa or cover with a few blankets, or a mattress protector.

There are pants you can get now that don’t absorb on the inside so they feel the wet but don’t go through to the outer part. I can’t remember the name but a quick google will find a brand that does them.

Im planning on starting this weekend, I also bought a new sofa last month so didn't time that well🤦🏽♀️ I'm going to put down puppy pads and old towels x
My husband and I have recently come abroad with our baby to meet his parents and family. We have been here 1 day and he has gone out drinking with his friends. I wouldn’t mind usually except he came home at 8:30pm drunk looking for a bottle of alcohol. His mum enables him and they were opening every cupboard imaginable and making so much noise that he woke our baby up. Our baby who hasn’t slept today due to the amount of visitors we have had. He then got his drink and left again. He left the room in such a mess as well. He didn’t even apologise for waking our child up showing he doesn’t care at all.
I’m fed up because we have come to see his family and introduce our baby. I don’t speak the language either so there’s a barrier. Most of them are telling me what to do (using arm gestures etc so we understand each other) and I’m lonely. It’s not a break or holiday for me. I enjoy myself more at home. I know while I’m here I’ll just be stuck inside at home every day and that isn’t what I want for me and my baby.
I feel like I want out of my marriage. Am I wrong with how I feel? x

Just reached 37 weeks today. Husband wants to go visit his parents because he won’t see them for a while (they’re not visiting and we are only going to see them in feb). He thinks it’s doable. I’m very hurt and don’t feel prioritized. What to say

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone's son has experienced testicle/penis pain as a toddler? My 2 year old son has been commenting on his penis hurting at night but he hasn't seemed like he was in pain so I wondered if it was just discomfort with his diaper because he's showing signs of readiness for potty training.
The last day he has been showing signs that he's in pain and saying it hurts under his penis (assuming his testicles).
Wondering if I should take him in or if this is normal? My older son has never had any pain complaints but I know every child is different so it may be normal for some kids?
He's not circumcized if that matters and he's not having any other symptoms other than the pain

So I am a 38 year old female with 3 kids and one being autistic. My two youngest’s dad says he wants more kids with me. I told him no I don’t want anymore kids. I had so much complications with my last son had to have an emergency c section. I am still having so much pain and still have pain from the c-section after 6 years they sued up a piece of my uterus wall when they were closing me back up. So now he’s mad at me because I said no I don’t want anymore kids. Like am I tripping cause I’m standing ten toes down on not having anymore kids .

Seems like alot of women go through the same thing it's basically normalised..I'm so tired of complaining about this or even trying to get through to my partner. Basically the constant work load of the home.. the mess the clutter the picking up after everyone else I just dont know what to do anymore or what to think.. I'm not working so that's what I tell myself to keep me sane.. it's not that serious coz he's working and tired. But it's so much deeper than that, just because he works should I have to pick up after him like ine of my kids.. its not changing I've voiced this again and again and I'm done. At the end of the day it really is affecting mental health because I feel I can't keep up and therefore like a failure. Sorry for the rant, any advice? X
