Standing / walking

my 16 month old has absolutely no confidence standing on her own and gets scared when we let go, she also sometimes just flops down, how do we build her confidence?

Have you tried a push walker x

My little boy is the same. He will practically run with his walker and he will walk holding my hands but the second I let go he flops to the floor. He won’t walk or stand unassisted and I have tried so much. No advice but just wanted to reassure you you’re not alone x

This was my son for ages. He was 16 months on the first, he started standing independently a couple of weeks ago and is starting to take steps now but for months he would just flop the minute he had no support.

I don’t know if anything i did helped him or would he have come to it in his own time anyway. What I used to do after changing his nappy was get him to stand and hold my shoulders while I pulled up his trousers and then I would start a game where I would try get him to stand independently (he would always fall into me) but I would try make it as fun and funny to him as possible so he was laughing. It worked 50% of the time the rest of the time he wasn’t bothered and just crawled off.

Otherwise when he did let go and start standing independently without even realising it I didn’t make a big fuss or draw attention to it… I found the more low key I was the longer he would last before realising he wasn’t supported and the inevitable flop to the ground

Try not to worry too much I was starting to think it would never happen and then one day it just did and I’m sure it will be the same with your LO xxx

Don't hold on to her, let her hold you. Don't let go, let her let go of you. If she is holding your hand let her lead follow her, say "where do you want to go?" "Take me to what you want" etc.

Don't try to force it just let her lead and she will do her own thing in her own time

10 month old sleep regression?

My baby has always been a fantastic sleeper and would sleep through the night in her cot. Shes never slept in our bed. She would fall asleep on us and transfer over to her cot easily. Recently she is crying every time we put her down and waking multiple times in the night.

Has this happened to anyone else? It’s been a week now and I don’t want to make a habit of her sleeping in my bed when we’ve done so well up until now.

No judgment- FTM!

I combi feed my baby. Based on advice from relatives (lol) I was told when it comes to bottle feeds, especially at night feeds, just prepare them before we go to bed then reheat when needed.

My health visitor has come and advised against that due to bacteria growth. We thought this may be a reason why baby is in discomfort due to upset tummy.

To make life easier at night I’ve just gone back to breast feeding as he will cry the place down if he has to wait at night lool. If I have to make a bottle from scratch does anyone recommend at cooling device I can use?

Thank you x

Going out with bottle fed baby

Baby is 9 weeks - we’ve been out to shopping centre/family but I panic so much thinking about his feeds - mainly, how will I make his milk when out/ will he run out?

I usually take ready made milk and feel ‘safe’ around shops as I can always buy milk if we run out. I’ve stoped this now as it’s too expensive and I have everything I need to prepare his milk.. so no excuse!

I always take so many bottles/ rapid cool/ flask with hot water / bottle with cool boiled water - I have everything but it causes me so much anxiety especially when I see others preparing milk with ease and confidence!

I just can’t work out the best way to prepare his bottles when out.

Also, as I take sooo much stuff as I don’t want to run out - I can’t fit everything into my bag 😩🙈

What do you find works for you? Thank you

Help!

Ok our dryer just broke but it’s not mine it’s my moms who I live with. They don’t want to buy a new due to financial situations. Me and my husband would buy it but my mom’s husband doesn’t want to put in and doesn’t even speak to us. So getting a new one is on hold but I need to wash my husbands uniforms like 3 times a week. And I’m down to hand wash them the problem is them drying and smelling like mildew. So has anyone ever tried a portable dryer or any recommendations on what to do cause we’ve been doing the laundry mat and it’s adding up with us doing laundry multiple times a month.

Feeling bad.

My 3 month old (just turned) if not asleep will just scream and cry whenever awake, we maybe get 5 minutes maximum where we can interact/play because the rest of the time she is so unhappy!
I dont know if I want help, ideas of what could be the cause, reassurance, just anything right now 🫠🥹 ps. It's not just when she's tired, it's all the time x

High Chairs!

Anyone got any recommendations on high chairs? Ideally I don’t want one that’s too expensive as it’ll just get overrated in food, but happy to pay more if needed. Think I’ll need one with straps so baby doesn’t throw himself forward!
