Baby is scheduled to arrive via C section on March 5. It’s March 1. I’ve been pretty anxious and hyper aware past few days about trying NOT to go into labor beforehand. My Q for you is… should I call off March 2 and 3? I wfh March 4. I’m a college professor so my only tasks for these 2 days is walking from car to building and between classrooms, proctoring 3 exams, and giving one lecture (I can stay seated). It’s lowkey, but I’m terrified that even the walking will be enough to trigger contractions or water breaking, which would be uncomfy to experience publicly. I also teach 35 min away from home, in the opp direction of my hospital which is already 20 min from home.
I’ve had Braxton Hicks (not painful, just hardening) false contractions for weeks. Baby is def causing more pressure on bladder than before. I *think* I saw something like a mucus plug this morning, and I’ve felt like I have to poop today but haven’t pooped. Is it just constipation… or is baby trying to come out soon? I have not experienced anything painful.
What should I do in regards to work. I’m being reluctant bc these two work days are “easy” and I’d like to save my off days for after my maternity leave.

Even with your symptoms there is no way to guarantee or judge when you will go into active labor. However if the thought is causing you stress then it may be better to be off work then have the constant anxiety. If you do go to work just have a contingency plan like spare clothes, maternity bag, etc. packed in your car. Have numbers saved for the hospital, spouse etc. and if you have a friend at work maybe ask them to let people know if you have to leave early due to the pregnancy.

Id say go bc it'll help the days go by faster lol. My csection is scheduled the 9th & ive still been going for long walks just not having sex (to not bring on labor).
But I can see how the drive might be concerning. Id probably call my Dr's nurse line & ask for their opinion about it since they've been seeing you.
My november baby came on 29th September via csection due to placenta issues.
She was born at 10:36am weighing 6lbs3oz and she is absolutely perfect 🥹🩷

Hello mums ❤️
I’m 3 months plus postpartum, and I had my baby through a C-section.
My concern is that my lower tummy is still hanging over my C-section scar. It’s not that I look pregnant, but I have this tummy pouch that is really bothering me.
I’ve spoken to my GP, and they reassured me that everything is fine and that it should improve with time. They also advised me to try some gentle exercises.
Please, mums who experienced this after a C-section, did your tummy eventually go down? What helped you? Are there any safe exercises you would recommend?
I’d really appreciate your experiences and advice. Thank you, mums. ❤️

Hi guys! Ive been suffering with really bad sickness even now at 17 weeks. Has anyone tried cyclizine for sickness and were the side effects bad? On the leaflet it does say not suitable for pregnant women but my dr has prescribed this to me

Induction booked for 40+9 which is 2 days away. I would have preferred to go into labour naturally but baby isn’t even engaged at this point and I’m really really done with being pregnant and uncomfortable.
Looking for success stories of people who have had inductions booked and then gone into labour naturally the day before? 😂
Or just any advice or encouragement as I’m a little disheartened that I probably won’t get my water birth now with being induced as I have read that people struggle with the hormone drip contractions so I am more likely to need/want an epidural or continuous monitoring 😪

I keep seeing posts/tiktoks/instagram reels saying late November babies are being born early like now early and for the last few days my braxton hicks have been terrible. I think I’m also leaking my mucus plug but not sure.

Had a sweep yesterday at 9:45am, was told I was 1cm dilated and cervix was soft. I’ve since had an increase in mucus, just want to know people’s stories about sweep and their success! I had a bishops score of 4! I have another one booked for Friday 🤞🏼
