How old are your babies and did they start to smile socially? How frequently? Mine will be 8 weeks in 4 days, started smiling a week ago, its very rare maybe once or twice a day after a lot of encouragement, should I be concerned?

About 5 weeks old but it still isn’t consistent which am not worried about x

Mine started around 4 weeks old, now she's 6 weeks and she smiles a lot, by herself (a couple of times she laughed while sleeping, which was sweet) or in reaction to me saying hello or cuddling her. But as far as I read it can happen any time between 4 to 8 weeks, and as long as they smile it shouldn't matter if they do it a lot or not. I guess it is more important to see if they do it in response to an input.

My little girl is 8 weeks tomorrow and she does it a few times a day sometimes less but it’s not consistent yet Xx

I’m having my first baby in January and my mum asked me today whether I’d like her to be in the room alongside my husband for the birth of little boy. I could tell she asked because it’s something she really wants but I felt it was important to be honest and say that I really just want it to be my husband and I, but would absolutely love for her to be in the waiting room and the first to meet him after us.
I received a really hostile response back and she told me that her best friend witnessed her daughter’s birth and she feels like I don’t love her as much / im not listening to her feelings because I don’t want to go down that route. It then became quite a negative conversation around how she feels left behind and that I only go to her ‘when I need something’.
It’s made me feel really emotional and turbulent and it’s made me feel quite sad because I feel like she’s not listening to what I want and my boundaries but instead making me feel bad for what is ultimately my decision.
Has anyone had something similar happen? How did you navigate the conversation after?

My 10 week old has always been very attracted to me from the start and early on when I put her down in the bouncer or the mat to play she woukd start to cry after 10-20 minutes. Recently its gotten alot worse to the point she starts to cry as soon as I lower her down or bring her away from me. The only time she's happy and not crying when im not holding her is nappy changes, she rarely does tummy time on the mat as she will just scream the place down (she does it on my chest instead).
Will she grow out of this or is there anything I can do to settle her when I put her down, ive tried toys, lights, singing, books but nothing works unless I pick her up. I feel bad that nothing gets done around the house or that I dont get 5 minutes to myself. Shes exclusively bf.

Has anyone else experienced this with their little one? 🥹💗
My little girl is nearly 7 weeks old and during the day she’s generally absolutely fine, but as soon as nighttime comes around, it’s like a switch flips!
She screams and cries, sometimes for hours, and it feels like nothing I do settles her. I’ve tried feeding, winding, changing, cuddling. I even started her on infacol and giving her gripe water.
The strange thing is that it’s only at night! During the day she’s a completely different baby.
Has anyone else gone through this? Is it just a phase, witching hour, colic or something else? When did it get better for you?
I’m absolutely exhausted and have no idea what else to try.
