So we are in a lot of debt right now
My partner has made it so I can’t go back to my old job so I do a bit of admin work for my parents business and i sell things on Vinted to make money but as you can imagine it’s not very much, I look for online flexible remote jobs all the time (because I still have to pay for the food shopping and rent) as this is what I’m restricted too to be home with the kids as he is quite spontaneous even with his work (self employed)
Recently we had to borrow some money from my parents (they’ve already paid for a lot of things for us which we will pay back and they’re very patient I just feel bad) now this particular money my partner said he would be able to pay back the next day (a client was supposed to pay him) so this is what I told my mum but there was no payment which I know is not his fault but he always says yeah I should be getting paid this day that day but it’s never that time
Now his mum really wants him to go on holiday with her this month but only told him this in January very last minute imo so anyways she’s booked his flight for him but it cost more than what we needed from my parents it just doesn’t seem fair as we already owe them so much but we don’t owe his mum anything (well he will have to pay her back but yeah)
He told me to ask my mum before he’d even asked both of his parents which I did cos I assumed he knew they wouldn’t have the money but idk now
And part of me feels like he shouldn’t be going away when he owes ppl money (we owe some of his friends quite a bit too) and doesn’t know if he’ll be able to pay them back before he goes
Am I being petty or am I valid?

I think you’re valid. He has higher priorities than vacationing. My partner does the same thing, except we don’t owe family or friends money. He always tries to plan trips and it bothers me when bills are piling up and things are getting paid late.
You’re not alone in your frustration.

Your feelings are valid. His priorities are a bit out of line. I hope you can find a WFH job soon or he gets paid from the gigs he’s doing because this is never a good feeling.

Ridiculous and quite frankly completely out of order he owes money to your family who have bailed you out multiple times but instead of paying what he owes, is swanning on off holiday. I’d be so pissed. It shows a complete lack of respect to your family. I’d kick off big time about this and tell him it’s not on.

Your not alone ❤️
My partner and I live together, and I’m a first-time mom to our two-month-old baby. Since the very first day I came home from the hospital after my C-section, while I was in pain and recovering, he had friends over without consulting me. I was so overwhelmed that I ended up crying in front of them.
Since then, he has continued agreeing to visits on weekdays and weekends without consulting me first. Sometimes, we’ll literally be in the middle of a conversation, and he’ll interrupt me to say, “Can you open the door? So-and-so is downstairs to see the baby.”
Yesterday was the height of it all, and I finally had enough. He came home from work around 9:30 p.m., and I had been taking care of the baby the entire time. He then asked if his friend had called me because they wanted to come see the baby. I finally confronted him because I’m tired of this happening repeatedly.
I’m exhausted, and weekends are my only chance to get things done while he helps with the baby. I don’t mind visitors, but I expect advance notice and to be consulted before anyone is invited over. The frustrating part is that when I speak up, I’m made to feel like the villain while he gets to be the good guy who says yes to everyone.
Am I wrong for wanting basic consideration and boundaries in my own home?

I am in the process of potty training my son and need any tips or tricks! He does pretty well when he doesn’t have a diaper or pull up on but as soon as we put anything on him even training underwear he starts to have accidents 🤦♀️ I have been off all week and have to send him back to daycare on Monday. Clearly the commando method can’t be used at daycare. HELP!

I have been with my child Father for a little bit over three years. We have a 14 month old baby. He complains about the way that I speak to him which I really don’t have a clue what I’m wrong. I’m Caribbean he’s African. I’ve tried to tone down. We still have been going at it for probably two years. He thinks I’m selfish and doesn’t show him love. He complains that I yell, which i don’t think i do, or talk crazy. He wants all these things from me, but isn’t nice to me.
He’s a great father , he provides, but I feel like it’s getting to a point where I can’t do it anymore. Every time we have an argument every time I bring something up of what I don’t like he always turn it back to me.
He says well I’m doing this and I have talked about it and I haven’t changed. I could never bring up something I don’t like without him turning it around to me, and lecturing me.
two days ago he’s said that he’s intentionally being an ass to me so I can see how it feels like when i do it to him and at this point it’s like why are we even in a relationship?

Please please tell me what your doing with your 9 month olds throughout the day. My partner works 12hour shifts and it’s just so draining being in the house with a fussy 9 month olds who I have to try keep a nap routine for.
What are we doing to keep them entertained and us feeling like we have an inch of sanity. Cannot even go to toilet without him crying and it’s so draining. I want positive and supportive advice please :(
