Drop the nap!?

My son turned 2 mid Feb and he still has 2 hours in the day. He was previously waking just after 7, napping from 12-2 then bedtime between 7/7.30pm but now he’s waking at 5am or before. Has anyone else dropped the nap or significantly reduced it?

Thank you x

Yes I had the exact thing a week ago. We now wake him from his nap after 1.5 hours if he doesn’t wake himself. That seems to have got him back in a good routine.
5am is a killer so I feel for you!

I wouldn’t drop the nap completely if they’re still having 2. I’d cap the nap. We currently cap at 1hour x

I’d be hesitant to drop the nap completely as it can lead to overtiredness which can cause the same thing. Maybe cap it at an hour or so and see if that makes any difference. You could also opt for a slightly later bedtime

Also capping our nap at 1:30 for now which is working for us, will continue to shorten when needed rather than dropping it completely x

Thanks all. Capped today at 1.5h so will see how morning goes x

Toddler not staying under duvet

We’ve recently moved our toddler to a single bed with a duvet for the first time. She’s manages to stay under the duvet for the first 4 hours then doesn’t have the duvet on. Currently she’s at the other end, on top of the duvet.

Will she eventually stay under?

1 YEAR JABS, DO I GIVE THEM TO MY BABY OR NOT?

Hi,
I’m really stressed because my mum is telling me not to get my child vaccinated with the 1 year jabs. My baby has already had the first 3 jabs but she’s really trying to get me to not get him vaccinated. I would like real opinions please. Has anyone here not had their baby jabbed? Please don’t think I’m silly for writing this, first time mum here so everything is so scary and new. Thank you!

Help!!!!

Someone please help me with some advice because I’m losing my absolute mind 😭
Baby is 5 months old, she has changed a lot in personality over the last month, more needy, sleep changes etc but have put it down to the 4 month regression and teething.
However, the problem that makes me want to literally cry is the car seat! She is totally inconsolable now every time she’s in the car. Why? And what can I do to help it?!

PP things I hate

Everything is stress induced anymore
My daughter has this ongoing diarrhea for 2 weeks now and I’ve gotten no sleep from it, I now have a canker sore from it, my acid reflux has more flare ups than ever. I don’t like having sex anymore (I love my partner and I still find him very attractive). Im way too overly touched (by the baby, by the dog and by him). Im 10m pp and I haven’t been able to wear a dang tampon! I don’t do pads because they are just not for me so I wear a diaper.
Please tell me if you relate to any of this at all? Or if I’m just crazy

Sleep regression solidarity

Anyone else’s little one been hit by sleep regression like a ton of bricks? 🙃.

Baby girl was sleeping so well then this past week has been struggling, last night was WILD. We are currently running on caffeine and vibes 😅✌️.

We can do this mamas.

Mum guilt

My baby has a really awful latch and breastfeeding can be quite uncomfortable. I’ve had help from the infant feeding team and it’s improved but still not great. He doesn’t have a tongue tie.

I think he swallows down a lot of air, he always has trapped wind and an uncomfortable tummy, he fusses and grunts all night long, never burps after feeds. He’s always congested and has hiccups all the time.

I have a fast letdown so I think that also contributes. I’m really really considering switching to formula but the guilt that comes alongside that is killing me.

My eldest was breastfed for 8 months so I feel so shameful considering quitting at just 4 weeks with second baby. I also feel a huge responsibility to keep breastfeeding through winter for the immune system and health benefits.

I’m just really not enjoying breastfeeding this time and it’s making me miserable.

Any tips?
