Nappies

Why size are your 4 months old in nappies? My little one is in size 2 and he ALWAYS leaks over night because he is going longer between changes. Size 2 fits him and is fine during the day, but I’m having to wash his sleepbags every day as he’s leaking through, any tips to stop this from happening apart from waking him up in the night to change him.

Size up ❤️ we in size 3 and even that leaving red marks sometimes

What nappies do you use and how long do you wait in between changing overnight? Its worth trying a size up for nighttime maybe. We use rascals and can go up to 12 hours with no leaks.

Avatar

Size 3 for a while now. Never had leaking issue. Definitely size up!

Avatar

Size 3 Aldi nappies. We will change if he poos overnight but no leaks, even after 11/12 hours x

Avatar

Used size 4 for a while now...more so I don't need to change as frequently 🙈 but they do look v comfy on her....haven't leaked overnight in months

At 4m my baby was in cloth diapers with 2 inserts (8 layers) during the day and 3 inserts (12 layers) at night. No leaks no blowouts ever. He always woke up dry pjs. I didn’t change at night either it was one diaper the whole night.

Size 3 but blow outs time for size 4!

Avatar

We’re in Size 4 ! Xx

Avatar

We are in size 3 too, have you tried overnight pampers Pull up ones? We were having the same issue, also make sure that the vests he is wearing aren't too tight around the nappy because that was causing us an issue too

Avatar

Thanks guys, I’ll try a size 3 overnight and see if that makes any difference x

Avatar

My boy is in size 4 but has blow outs even in the day he’s just over 8kg and the pampers size 4 are from 9kg-14kg supposedly is anyone going off of weight on the packs or more just how nappy fits baby and leaks/ blowouts and then sizing up please xx

Avatar

We are in size 2 from pampers. But if your LO is constantly leaking you might need to go one size up

Avatar

Just moved into size 2!

When my little boy used to leak but nappies would fit, I would close the tabs diagonally rather than horizontal across the top and that helps keep it in the nappy.

Avatar

We’re in size 3 but about to go into size 4 ☺️

Avatar

Just moved into size 4 no poonami on his back for a while now ☺️☺️☺️

Avatar

Sometimes it is because the vest is tight so perhaps size up in the vest

Avatar

Size 6 🤣 huge baby. These are the first ones that haven’t leaked overnight though, I change him twice a night when he wakes to feed but with the smaller sizes even waking more often he was leaking

Avatar

Size 3, will move up to size 4 soon

Avatar

What type nappies are you using?
We use asdas little angels and never have any leaks. They are big for the size compare to others too. Pampers and aldi didn’t hold much I found and small sizes.

Avatar

Size 4, he will be 5 months in two days and weighs 7.5kg and been in size 4 for a few weeks now

Avatar

Pampers size 6 pushing to size 7 but he was 9lb 11 born so he is a big baby unsure on his weight currently but if your baby is getting red pressure marks I’d size up until he isn’t getting them or rarely gets them also if the tapes are far apart when fastened I think generally means to size up too. I only usually size up if he’s getting pressure marks on his thighs or he’s having blow outs more just trial and error until you find the right size and nappies for you. He should start to sleep through with little to no leaks if you can find the right size x

Avatar

3 in the day 4 in the night, little angels asda nappies :) x

Avatar

We’ve just moved up to size 3 in the Asda little angels ones and we don’t leak at all even over night for 11+hrs sometimes!

Avatar

Just moved into size 3, using pampers and aldis 😃

Avatar

size 2 pampers and sleeps through the night without leaks but he’s in the 4th percentile and small (5.6kg)

Avatar

We're in size 4 Aldi nappies. We size up whenever he has any redness around the leg area of the nappy or if he leaks consistently

Avatar

my 4 month old is in size 3 pampers

Avatar

Size 3, nappies are from PURA, I find them on Amazon and are the best we tried, rarely had any leaking or rash

Avatar

Update - we tried a size 3 pampers pull up nappy last night and we went 7-7 with no leaks!!

Avatar

4 pampers

My september baby is finally here

My gorg girl is finally here due sept 29th born on the 7th sept 01:59 weighing a gorg 3870g, i went into spontaneous labour on tuesday morning woke up with the worst contractions which throughout the day got worse got to the hospital was 6cm dilated, made it to 9cm unmedicated before baby girl decided to go back to back in the last 1cm!! Bare in mind she was in the same position since 26weeks ahaha they knew her shoulder was going to get stuck and she was born with shoulder dystocia but no broken bones or sprains! So i had to get the epidural- anyone pregnant with a back to back baby the back contractions were the worst pain i ever felt in my life… anyways, forceps later and a small episiotomy as well - which literally after a day its healing really well down there and her tiny forceps scars are healing well as well. We are both so well and the hospital did an amazing job, another reason for epidural was they had to get her out quick as her heart rate was dropping so i had to push like asap they gave me 5 mins before the red button was pressed and a bunch of doctors ran in ahah, so far from my birth plan as i wanted to do 100% unmediated and in a water pool but at least i didn’t end up in c section and managed to push baby girl out! One of the hardest things ive ever done in my life but she is perf ❤️

Dummy - do I don’t I?!?!

Help - my 4 week old has hit an episode every night now without fail that she is waking up every hour/2 for a feed which I think is ok for this age? But she is such a struggle to get back down to sleep and just makes constant squeals moans for about an extra hour before she is in proper sleep - would a dummy help her settle ? Can we introduce only at night?!

Speech

How many words does your 18mo have? We've got about 6/7 and have been told by nursery and the health visitor thats the lower end/slightly behind. She understands very well, but rarely uses the words she knows and was a late babbler.

Just wondering if anyone else had been through the same with any advice to help her speech?

Need some advice

My baby is on cow and gate and has been for the last 2 weeks. I introduced breast alongside but she is refusing to latch because of the confusion and is getting frustrated when I’m trying to feed. However I’ve now stopped (for my mental state) she’s now showing signs of being very uncomfortable and straining and isn’t pooing until over 48 hours. We have been to the doctors and they have said because she is showing signs of uncomfortableness and straining to switch formulas. However they said not to use cow and gate comfort as it sits in the stomach longer.

Does anyone have any recommendations for formula that will help her bowels?

Poonami proof nappies

Hey ladies!
I am a woman on the edge. My baby has not had a single poo in the last 3 days that hasn’t escaped out of her nappy somehow. We’re using pampers which are supposed to be poonami proof! Is my baby just an aggressive pooper?!
Thoughts, prayers and advice needed please ❤️
