Non hormonal (copper coil) I had it for 12years between the age of 20 and 32 before having kids.
Best decision I ever made, periods regular (every 31 days) bleeding for 2-3 days not particularly heavy, hormones back to normal, it was bliss, had it taken out to have a baby now pregnant with my first.

Not on the list! but I’m on the implant been on nearly a year now. No side effects (i know everyone is different) no periods now only in the first few months after having it. and lasts for 3yrs.

I have had the implant and the hormonal coil in the past.
I had a great experience with the implant, no bleeding until it was close to its replacement, but it was light. My mood wasnt up and down like it was on the pill.
The coil, was painful putting in (they tell you it is light cramping and I went back to work and had to immediately leave due to the pain). My bleeding took ages to stabilize. I also ended up in A&E because of sudden pain and bleeding a few months later. It turns out the coil had moved and had caused bleeding in the process.

Copper coil inserted 7 months ago during my section. No painful periods but they’ve been a bit more frequent than I was used to and definitely heavier but no issues! X

Hormonal coil (mirina coil) I had in for 9 months and had bled that whole time

I had the copper coil and it was a nightmare. I think everyone is different but the annoying thing is you don’t know what’s what until it’s inside of you
Thanks all, very insightful x

I had the copper coil (non hormonal) for 5 years pre pregnancy, best thing I ever did. Regular periods, never painful. Not sure if that’s just me though. Now unsure whether to have it again or not now I have my baby xx
I'd recommend the Evra patch to anyone. I just can't have it as I'm not too old 👵🏻

So we’re in the middle of building an annex in the garden for my mil. I’m not really keen on the idea since we don’t have a loving joyful relationship. But I knew if I didn’t go along with it my partner would have resented me a little and we’ve already really struggled in our relationship. Plus I’ve just had a baby with a toddler at home and not in the space to deal with any of it. He’s just told me that if at any point in the future I decide it’s not working he would stay with his mum. And he was dead serious 🧐 THOUGHTS?

I left my baby daddy in April bc I was a single parent. I did everything for my son while he just went to work and paid his OWN bills and he called it providing. He was even making me pay half the rent and bills too even tho I wasn’t working and caring for baby 24/7. I did nights, cooking, cleaning, playing, bath time EVERYTHING. So he was able to work. But I didn’t get a dime and had to pay him.. and his family is the EXACT same. They said If I stopped paying rent they would take me to court… I honestly started not liking ppl bc of my bd family. They did not value me AT ALL! I was a full time student taking hard classes and raising my son full time. I was up from 6am-1am most days bc I had to.. That’s not right.. BUT my son wants to go back with his dad and me. Im thinking about it bc Raising a child in a single family household comes with so many cons.. more likely to do drugs, act out, etc. idk what to do. I want my son to be happy but I deserve to be happy too… I’m going to nursing school in January and I can’t imagine being with unsupportive ppl while ur trying to build a career. I would crash out

Hi Mummas! Has anyone tried coming back to work after a year of parental leave but as soon as coming back to work your body shuts down (health wise) as if it knows subconsciously that you’d prefer to be a SAHM?

I’m posting anonymously because I feel embarrassed and alone, and I could really use some support from other moms.
I thought I was in a relationship with someone who was only dating me. Then another woman reached out, and I learned he had been involved with her too. They’re no longer together, but I still can’t move past the betrayal.
He asked me to move in with him several times. I tried, but I kept leaving because I never felt emotionally safe with him. Now I’m pregnant, and he still wants to see me and have sex with me, but he hasn’t come to any appointments or really acknowledged our baby.
He says he’s upset that I spoke to the other woman and that I mentioned moving to another state with the baby, where I’d have support. I’m alone where I live now, and I was trying to think about how I could manage.
I feel awful. I keep thinking that if I hadn’t gotten back together with him, I wouldn’t be pregnant and facing this alone. Has anyone else dealt with betrayal during pregnancy? How did you get through it?
