I’m stuck

I left my baby daddy in April bc I was a single parent. I did everything for my son while he just went to work and paid his OWN bills and he called it providing. He was even making me pay half the rent and bills too even tho I wasn’t working and caring for baby 24/7. I did nights, cooking, cleaning, playing, bath time EVERYTHING. So he was able to work. But I didn’t get a dime and had to pay him.. and his family is the EXACT same. They said If I stopped paying rent they would take me to court… I honestly started not liking ppl bc of my bd family. They did not value me AT ALL! I was a full time student taking hard classes and raising my son full time. I was up from 6am-1am most days bc I had to.. That’s not right.. BUT my son wants to go back with his dad and me. Im thinking about it bc Raising a child in a single family household comes with so many cons.. more likely to do drugs, act out, etc. idk what to do. I want my son to be happy but I deserve to be happy too… I’m going to nursing school in January and I can’t imagine being with unsupportive ppl while ur trying to build a career. I would crash out

I’m sorry your going through this. Stay strong, stand your ground tell him that he needs to man up and pay for the bills obviously nicely so you won’t start a fight and if he does then don’t fight don’t argue you can’t win with a man like that. Yeah you need support is there anyone else who can support you? Or help you with the kid while you’re in school

Sorry you’re going through this I can’t imagine how hard it has been for you. As a child who grew up in a household with both parents who clearly should not have stayed together, I think it did more damage than had my parents separated. You and his father don’t have to be together in order for your child to be happy. I would say stay strong and get his dad to help even if that means putting him on child support.

I'm so grateful as an adult my parents didn't stay together. I didn't understand it as a kid but I'm grateful now.

My manager text me whilst I was on holiday and now I'm worried. Can I go away during maternity leave?

I'm from the UK. I was on full pay for 30 weeks and now on SMP.

MIL & partner issues

So we’re in the middle of building an annex in the garden for my mil. I’m not really keen on the idea since we don’t have a loving joyful relationship. But I knew if I didn’t go along with it my partner would have resented me a little and we’ve already really struggled in our relationship. Plus I’ve just had a baby with a toddler at home and not in the space to deal with any of it. He’s just told me that if at any point in the future I decide it’s not working he would stay with his mum. And he was dead serious 🧐 THOUGHTS?

Betrayed and Alone

I’m posting anonymously because I feel embarrassed and alone, and I could really use some support from other moms.

I thought I was in a relationship with someone who was only dating me. Then another woman reached out, and I learned he had been involved with her too. They’re no longer together, but I still can’t move past the betrayal.

He asked me to move in with him several times. I tried, but I kept leaving because I never felt emotionally safe with him. Now I’m pregnant, and he still wants to see me and have sex with me, but he hasn’t come to any appointments or really acknowledged our baby.

He says he’s upset that I spoke to the other woman and that I mentioned moving to another state with the baby, where I’d have support. I’m alone where I live now, and I was trying to think about how I could manage.

I feel awful. I keep thinking that if I hadn’t gotten back together with him, I wouldn’t be pregnant and facing this alone. Has anyone else dealt with betrayal during pregnancy? How did you get through it?
