Im really hoping this doesnt sound like a silly question!
So I know you cant predict when labour will start or anything like that but im curious if anyone had any particular signs that ive heard in the few days to a week leading up to when labour started that showed their body was getting ready to go into labour?

Following cause I’m interested to know

With my first I went into spontaneous labour 10 days early- I got a surge of energy a few days before, I was walking so much, I didn’t have any twinges or cramps. The day before I got really bad back pain, but I’d be in high heels for 10 hours at my close friend’s baby shower, so put it down to that. Woke up the next morning and I was in labour.

I don’t really remember getting anything signs with my first! I’d say I might have had some more energy? But I lost my mucus plug in the evening before and then the next day around 3pm my waters went at home and I had my son the next day xx

Nope, nothing until my waters broke the morning of! X

With my first I had a sweep and then period pains for about 7 hours after. At that point they then swapped to mild contractions and then they intensified through the day. I had her about 37 hours after the initial sweep/period pains! Otherwise I had no symptoms, never noticed losing my mucus plug and waters didn’t go until they broke them for me when I was about 9cm.

Nothing until I had a bloody show, and 10 minutes my waters broke. Baby was born two days later - long labour.
Hi guys just wanted to ask if this can do with pregnancy my clit has been hurting and inflamed for days now and I’m peeing a lot more than what I was is this pregnancy related and normal ?

So i went in for my sweep today, i am 39+6. Baby is 3/5 engaged. I was already around 4cm dilated but NOT in active labour. Ive been having cramps for the past 2 weeks and honestly feel like the sweep did absolutely nothing🙂. I lost my mucus plug and that was about it. I feel like this baby just doesnt want to come out. Im tired and so over it. The pain is absolutely just tiring me out however everytime i go to triage to get it checked out they say its normal. I have tried everything and anything at this point. Is anyone else in the same boat or is it just me

Those who have experienced induction before, whether good or bad experiences, are you able to pinpoint why the outcome was good or bad? For example what week were you induced at and was there a point in the process that looking back was a good sign/sign things probably would not progress?
Hopefully this makes some sort of sense....

How close to the date of a birthday party would you send out invitations?

Soooo, I was really against inducing after my first baby as it was not a nice experience at all!!
But due to a change in medical conditions I’m having to be induced this week now as I want to avoid a c section due to being on my own with the kids throughout the week.
I’m just wondering if anyone else has had second time round a better experience few mums at school have said it’s a lot quicker second time round.
I’m just wondering as I now have to sort out care for my 5 year old as I was in for over a week with her😩
