Am I alone?

This is possibly the weirdest thing I will ever make a public post about but I don’t exactly want to feel alone(?).
Before getting pregnant I had great bladder control and was able to hold everything in until I could go to the bathroom but after giving birth to my son, I’m having either close calls or accidents more than I would like to admit because I’m not feeling when I have to go anymore. Is anyone else going through this or is it just me?

Have a picture of my baby cause he’s cute btw:

I never had this issue thankfully but I know a lot of new mothers do, very common. You just need to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, do this daily x

Definitely not. I had a C-section and eventhough I feel when I need a wee. If I cough too much, laugh or sneeze I can have accidents I always wear panty liners because I've had plenty !!even in the middle of work 😭😂 but seriously you're not alone it's very common x

I literally wee myself anytime I cough/ sneeze. I’ve had 2 babies and I need to do more pelvic exercises 🤣 definitely not alone

This is very common after giving birth due to the incredible pressure pregnancy places on your pelvic floor. I would recommend seeing your OBGYN and requesting a referral to see a pelvic floor therapist. A pelvic floor therapist can diagnose if your pelvic floor is weak or overactive and give you exercises that will help your pelvic floor function properly.

Hey mama I’d say you should go to a pelvic physio. In the UK we have this private service called ‘mummy MOT’, is there something similar near you?

We're you cathed

Girrrrl you are not alone. I had a c section and when I tell you any time I cough, sneeze, fart , laugh, shit if I get up to fast a little wee coming out. I’ve been strengthening my pelvic floor and still if it’s a hard laugh or multiple sneezes a little wee comes out . It’s less the more I work on my pelvic floor but you aren’t alone.

I had a c section and had no issues with my bladder but my friend with a c section does and she’s been having physio to try and help strengthen pelvic muscles x

I had a third degree tear with my first and ever since I’ve struggled with my bladder. It deffo got better but no where near how it was before having babies

Super common girl. Try to get an OB or PCP referral to a pelvic floor therapist!!

I had to get stitches with my first and I had one cut that they didn’t stitch (I was later told it should of defo been stitched as it was a second degree cut) and I ended up getting an infection and could hardly sit down, I think I had a nappy on for about 2 weeks as I just wet myself 24/7 there was no holding it I would just wee Myslef because I physically couldn’t hold it as I was in so much pain, so we are all in the same boat lol x

Struggling

I’m sorry for the sad post but I’m honestly struggling so much and I feel so alone. I’ve tried to explain how I feel to my husband and mum but they don’t seem to get it. I have a 13 month old and I’m 4 months pregnant. I’m tired all the time, not happy in my marriage, put on so much weight and have absolutely no desire to do things. I’ve tried looking for a counsellor to talk to and just on the waitlist but I need to know it gets better. I feel like I’m stuck in a dark hole just pretending I’m okay to everyone my friends and family and work colleagues but I’m really really not.

Am I overreacting?

To give some background, my partner used to use cocaine when he used to go out before I had a baby, it didn’t bother me, just let him get on with it. When it was getting close to baby being born I set a boundary and said that I did not want him doing that anymore when baby is here, he has responsibilities and a child to come home to. He promised me that he wouldn’t and for the first 4 months I am confident he didn’t.

He was out on Saturday and I knew immediately that he had, and he came home wanting to look after baby. I asked him and he denied it but I still wouldn’t let him anywhere near her.

On Sunday I barely spoke to him, and then asked him again on the night and he continued to deny it, in the end I asked him to swear on our baby that he hasn’t at which point he finally admitted it but didn’t seem sorry about it or bothered about it at all.

I feel like I’m struggling to get past this and that he would come home coked up and want to look after our baby but I don’t know if I am overreacting and I would rather be told straight up if I am!

In love with someone else

I’ve been with my partner for 3 years and we have a 2 year old. I got pregnant only 2 months after meeting him, we said let’s make it work. We have an ok relationship but there’s no emotional connection. He think it’s ok but I’ve expressed I’m not happy.

Recently an ex from 7 years ago just told me he’s still in love with me and he wants to peruse this again. I wasn’t expecting to feel all the things that I’m feeling and now I can’t stop thinking about the possibility of us together.

But I have a two year old. I feel like it’s selfish to even think about these things because I’d be taking away his home, his dad his normal. Do I just stay for the sake of my child? I mean my partner isn’t a horrible person we just aren’t in love or do I leave and explore this new connection with my ex? I’m so confused

Mirena coil

I haven’t been on contraception for 10 years, but never fell pregnant until we started trying. I am 8 weeks post partum and debating having the mirena coil fitted. Can anyone share their experiences please?
