I’m sorry for the sad post but I’m honestly struggling so much and I feel so alone. I’ve tried to explain how I feel to my husband and mum but they don’t seem to get it. I have a 13 month old and I’m 4 months pregnant. I’m tired all the time, not happy in my marriage, put on so much weight and have absolutely no desire to do things. I’ve tried looking for a counsellor to talk to and just on the waitlist but I need to know it gets better. I feel like I’m stuck in a dark hole just pretending I’m okay to everyone my friends and family and work colleagues but I’m really really not.

Not sure where you are but can you ask midwife for a referral to the maternal mental health team?

Ive only had 1 baby and shes two am still feeling like this

They have online counselors you could try- better help worked well for me. Or cerebral was good. Would you be able to hire someone to help with the 13 month old and clean the house while you slept?
I’m based in Kent uk. I think I’ll do this actually. I have a midwife appt coming up next week. Thank you
We have a cleaner once a month but financially still trying to get our money back up from the last maternity leave and now baby no2 with financial struggles. Just feel like I’ve been making series of bad decisions and my life is going downhill. I’ve always been an ambitious goal getter and so positive and I don’t know. This is just hard and a tough place to be. Feel like I’ve failed somehow

Hi! So sorry that you’re feeling like this. I’m also based in Kent if you want to message / talk I’m here. We’re all here for you Mumma ❤️
The first step is asking for help and that is what you have done / are doing. It’s so normal to feel the way you do and I’m sure a lot of mums on here will relate. Things will always get better xx

I really struggled with my mental health through my pregnancy. My family didn’t get it at all and I was told to “just be happy”.
Firstly I need you to know is you have not failed. You have not failed yourself or your family. You are an amazing Mumma.
I’m so glad you are reaching out for help. I was placed on medication for anxiety through my pregnancy and it helped me so much.
Our families might not get it but if you need to someone to chat to I am here if you need to reach out. ❤️

Hi, I’m struggling with feeling quite lonely in pregnancy. I only have a handful of friends. 2 of them are pregnant which is quite nice, but I don’t really see the others. I’ve just joined a pregnancy Pilates group but I feel people keep to themselves. Does anyone have any ideas how I can connect with others and make like minded friends? I’m 15 weeks pregnant and live in Kent (UK). Xx

To give some background, my partner used to use cocaine when he used to go out before I had a baby, it didn’t bother me, just let him get on with it. When it was getting close to baby being born I set a boundary and said that I did not want him doing that anymore when baby is here, he has responsibilities and a child to come home to. He promised me that he wouldn’t and for the first 4 months I am confident he didn’t.
He was out on Saturday and I knew immediately that he had, and he came home wanting to look after baby. I asked him and he denied it but I still wouldn’t let him anywhere near her.
On Sunday I barely spoke to him, and then asked him again on the night and he continued to deny it, in the end I asked him to swear on our baby that he hasn’t at which point he finally admitted it but didn’t seem sorry about it or bothered about it at all.
I feel like I’m struggling to get past this and that he would come home coked up and want to look after our baby but I don’t know if I am overreacting and I would rather be told straight up if I am!

I haven’t been on contraception for 10 years, but never fell pregnant until we started trying. I am 8 weeks post partum and debating having the mirena coil fitted. Can anyone share their experiences please?
