Going back to work & feeding baby

I really hope someone here can give me some advice or reassurance. I am going back to work at the end of the month with my partner taking over looking after our little one using the shared parental scheme. My daughter by this point will be nearly 6 months at this point. We have been trying to do mixed feeding but she has always been difficult with the bottle to the point that she refuses it half the time and I give up and breastfeed. I had seen an improvement for a few weeks but the last week or so she has gone back to refusing it completely. What can I do? I am scared that she will starve herself when i go back to work 😭 I have tried everything, different bottles, different tits, different environments, different people feeding her etc. Will a baby choose to starve instead of taking the bottle?

We had this when we first started introducing a bottle at 3 months! She wouldn’t take a bottle from me because she could smell my milk… but she took it from my partner well!
We also quickly realised when I wasn’t there that a baby will not starve themselves, if they are hungry enough they will eat and quickly realise that a bottle is their only source!
I found it tough but just kept going with it and eventually she took it really well x

Having the same issues! In the same situation tried a bottle with formula and breast milk but somehow he just refuses to suck! We are trying daily..

Have you tried a sippy cup? I had to go straight to a Nuby sippy cup as I had the same problems, he will drink from it if he is hungry/thirsty enough. I also have been trying to offer food more often( although i know they get all their nutrients from milk), but he seems to be a fussy eater atm aswell! I did a couple of kit days recently and he didnt starve, but it is still a worry i know. Xx

Could have written this post myself.
We've tried everything - every teat, every bottle, cups but just going to carry on.

LO currently refusing to feed whilst I'm a work. Has had bottles previously but the last bottle he took was recalled SMA which made him ill.

I went back last week.
We've just been to GP been prescribed CMPA formula and I refused to breast feed today.

Chugged a 210ml bottle tonight. Reason we went to GP was because of contact rash when formula feeding. Hoping we've cracked it ā™„ļø this is with the fast flow mam teat

Toddler not staying under duvet

We’ve recently moved our toddler to a single bed with a duvet for the first time. She’s manages to stay under the duvet for the first 4 hours then doesn’t have the duvet on. Currently she’s at the other end, on top of the duvet.

Will she eventually stay under?

1 YEAR JABS, DO I GIVE THEM TO MY BABY OR NOT?

Hi,
I’m really stressed because my mum is telling me not to get my child vaccinated with the 1 year jabs. My baby has already had the first 3 jabs but she’s really trying to get me to not get him vaccinated. I would like real opinions please. Has anyone here not had their baby jabbed? Please don’t think I’m silly for writing this, first time mum here so everything is so scary and new. Thank you!

Help!!!!

Someone please help me with some advice because I’m losing my absolute mind 😭
Baby is 5 months old, she has changed a lot in personality over the last month, more needy, sleep changes etc but have put it down to the 4 month regression and teething.
However, the problem that makes me want to literally cry is the car seat! She is totally inconsolable now every time she’s in the car. Why? And what can I do to help it?!

PP things I hate

Everything is stress induced anymore
My daughter has this ongoing diarrhea for 2 weeks now and I’ve gotten no sleep from it, I now have a canker sore from it, my acid reflux has more flare ups than ever. I don’t like having sex anymore (I love my partner and I still find him very attractive). Im way too overly touched (by the baby, by the dog and by him). Im 10m pp and I haven’t been able to wear a dang tampon! I don’t do pads because they are just not for me so I wear a diaper.
Please tell me if you relate to any of this at all? Or if I’m just crazy

Sleep regression solidarity

Anyone else’s little one been hit by sleep regression like a ton of bricks? šŸ™ƒ.

Baby girl was sleeping so well then this past week has been struggling, last night was WILD. We are currently running on caffeine and vibes šŸ˜…āœŒļø.

We can do this mamas.

Mum guilt

My baby has a really awful latch and breastfeeding can be quite uncomfortable. I’ve had help from the infant feeding team and it’s improved but still not great. He doesn’t have a tongue tie.

I think he swallows down a lot of air, he always has trapped wind and an uncomfortable tummy, he fusses and grunts all night long, never burps after feeds. He’s always congested and has hiccups all the time.

I have a fast letdown so I think that also contributes. I’m really really considering switching to formula but the guilt that comes alongside that is killing me.

My eldest was breastfed for 8 months so I feel so shameful considering quitting at just 4 weeks with second baby. I also feel a huge responsibility to keep breastfeeding through winter for the immune system and health benefits.

I’m just really not enjoying breastfeeding this time and it’s making me miserable.

Any tips?
