Honestly I feel nothing, I didn’t want this pregnancy, my husband did. I struggle every day alone with the cleaning, laundry and cooking, taking care of our one year old, the beared dragon he bought himself as a wedding present in 2023, the 11 month old German shepherd puppy he got last month and expects me to take care of and train alone. I’m literally 35 weeks pregnant I have had to cancel multiple appointments, I’m high risk and had to cancel my appointments with MFM because he was too busy to take me to appointments. I literally do the dishes and unload and reload the dishwasher alone, I cook all the meals, I’m taking out the trash alone every night, taking out the recycling alone, doing all the laundry, taking care of the kids ( he has 2 kids before we got together they are 8 and 11 now and here every other weekend no respect at all and I’m constantly cleaning up after them too ) my husband has made it clear that because he works and goes school that I should be able to take care of everything. I’m at the point where after this c section I don’t want to even see the baby, I don’t want skin to skin, I don’t want to even be put in the same hospital room. I want to be alone and not deal with any of it. I literally have been living in hell for months, crying in pain from a migraine that has been going on for the last 5 weeks straight, getting less than 4 hours of sleep every night, non stop abdominal pain for the last week straight I can’t do this anymore

Then stop. Stop doing his laundry stop cooking dinner, stop cleaning up after him. Your husband is insane. The work you put in being a "nanny" while he works is the equivalent of his job. Everything else and I do mean everything besides keeping the kids alive while he is gone should be split 50/50 he is an adult too. He shares the responsibility.

Oh, I know it ain't easy. Certainly easier to say. I had a couple of fights with my man over what exactly was my responsibility. But I absolutely refuse to be a childminder 24 hours a day on top of a housekeeper and a cook.

The problem is your husband
Not this baby/pregnancy
Bear in mind hormones are likely to be at an all time high
Literally tell him point blank
His children & dogs need to either be taken care of by him at least in the next few months or not visit be sent away to other family!

First of all, I am so sorry you are having to go through all that. I can't begin to imagine the horrible nightmare you must be living. It is not fair on you nor on the baby that's coming and nor on anyone really, what he is doing to you. You have to call it for what it is, emotional abuse, soon to be physical because he is not taking care of you. You are pregnant and you should not be doing all that. I can remember when I was 35 and my bf was the lazy one, I was still expected to work, raise my then 1 year old and also attend to the house. Cried myself to sleep, was hard to hide it from my child.. had my brothers dog also stay with us at times due to his personal issues.. that being said, nothing compares to the pain and struggle you are having to go through. All I can say really is to stay strong for you and your children. Anything and everything else will need to wait.. or be dropped whether he likes it or not. Do you have family or friends you can lean on in this difficult time?

Also, I really want to give you a hug and tell you that everything will be okay, and lend you a hand somehow. Men in this time and age should not be behaving like they rule the world and be treating women like this, is insane!!! Please stay strong, call for help, speak to someone but the baby deserves you at your best and it might feel like you can't connect right now, I sure did when I was pregnant with my second, but everything changes when they are born

This post showed up on my feed. Although I’m not in the group I did want to comment. I had 2 under 2 many years ago and I had a husband just like yours down to even bringing animals into the house. I was trapped as well. Stop doing it all. Who cares if you get screamed at, put some headphones in. When he gets home and starts his shit go take a long hot shower. Even if you don’t shower and take a damn nap on the bathroom floor (been there). Stop washing his dishes. Wash what you and the baby need. Stop doing his laundry. Stop cooking his meals. This will force him to have to do it. What’s he going to do? Bitch about doing it? Then he has no right to expect you to do it if he can’t even manage to do it lol. Stop watching his children. Before they get there leave the house. Demand respect. Ultimately that marriage of mine led to divorce. You do not have to live this way.

He is damn abusive! I know it's hard but maybe divorce is your best option. Try maybe see someone legal about your options and plan an escape. Postpartum is so hard and it's better to.get the support you need in a quieter environment than the torment he's putting you through. You don't deserve this! Take your toddler and leave. He doesn't deserve you and since you're high risk you're better off alone in a quiet place with far less stress. There have to be helps out there and laws to protect you. You need to think of what's best for you, your baby and your toddler. It'd be hard but I don't see you getting the help you need even after birth so if I were you I'd take him for what his worth, every dime possible and leave his sorry ass...

Do you actually love him?

If you’re in Australia contact tressillian or speak to your midwife’s alone get support because that is way to much for you to be dealing with especially if it’s a high risk pregnancy .. it took me a while to have a connection with my son due to pregnancy and complications but we got there.. praying that things work out for you

If you feel this way it’s best to seek some help via social services & therapy
It’s your choice to make ultimately if your baby will be better of without you then put him up for adoption
Only you can decide & know what’s going to work for your family

If your in the UK there are a lot of services that can help you with housing financial mental & your children
Either way
My advice make plans to leave this man
Take notes of all the abuse for evidence & a reminder to you the reasons
He’s abusive & literally ruining yours & your children’s lives
It will be hard for a year vs forever
You decide

LEAVE
He’s a narcissist his needs will always be placed above you & the children
If he had that much money for decorating for Halloween which isn’t even an important celebration & asking you to stop therapy due to cost he’s making an absolute mockery of you
Have some self respect
Do no accept his nonsense

Make a plan
Save a bit of money
Sell things you don’t need
Look into support in your community the church charity groups etc etc
What is everyone’s opinion on this?
For the record, I work 7.30-4.30 Monday to Thursday and my 11 month old goes to nursery 2 days a week on the 30 free childcare hours.
I’ve been thinking of asking my nursery if I can put my baby in on a Friday, even if it’s just for half a day. I’m so shattered and the house is a tip. She’s never been the happiest baby either from birth and I feel like I’m running on so little fumes now, it would be nice to have a couple of hours to myself to sort the house/ batch cook dinners etc but I feel like doing this massive awful thing by doing this. She’s just never happy and cries majority of the day and I think I just need a little break every now and again to keep my sanity…

So I have older children (15,10) I now have a 5 month old, I decided to wean at 4 months. But now the guidelines are strictly 6 months….Anyone eles started at 4 months? I did tiny spoons of baby 4+ porridge in the morning (3 max) soon as she turned 4 months. Now at 5 months she wants food! She loves food! I’m still only doing 5 maybe tiny spoons of say baby porridge in the morning, and blended veg in the eve while we have our tea. She still has 4/5 bottles during the day and her bedtime bottle.
In the next few weeks up to 6 months I plan to do blw where she helps herself to soft solids.
Please no judgement just interested to know if there’s many other people who weaned (a little!) from 4 months? 🙂

I never planned on having my daughter watch screens this early, but we wanted her to sleep with loud sounds right away so she's used to it and wouldn't wake up from small things and it definitely worked. She is just like my fiancé it makes me laugh sometimes. The way she sleeps and eats is just like him too. She’ll sit in her bouncer or swing and watch SpongeBob for hours now. It's her favorite show and I can’t get over it. she even laughs and reacts to it, it's so funny. It calms her down when she’s fussy sometimes, and she really loves the music. I can't wait until she's older so i can show her what my favorite shows were growing up, like strawberry shortcake🍓 or the barbie movies 💗
Do any of your little ones have a show they're interested in yet? Or specific music they like?

My LO started weaning on purées at about 4.5months (under doctor advice as he was a hungry boy and had reflux), we’re now introducing BLW as he’s 6 months old but I’m just wondering how many meals I should be offering him a day? With purées, he started on once a day but now has them 2-3 times a day along with his usual milk intake. Is this too much? He’s not sick and has always been a generally hungry baby but there’s so much conflicting information and I don’t want to be overfeeding him either as I have a feeling he’s going to be a greedy boy! 🤣

My husband has a chance to get me into his job. I’m a SAHM to a 2 year old girl currently, and while I love it, I also love working. The problem is, it’s Monday-Saturday from 7-6, but the drive is another 3 hours. So we’d wake up at 5, drive an hour and a half to drop her off at daycare around 6:30, then work for 11 hours, pick her back up before 6:30, then be home by 8. I was so excited until I realized that’s insane, I can’t even spend time with my daughter that way, at all. Currently she goes to sleep at 10 pm, wakes up at 10 am. We’d have to wreck her schedule, and even then, she wouldn’t be getting enough sleep, let alone dinner, bath, and time with us. I don’t think it’s worth it, and I’m upset I noticed this a few days into talking about me getting a job with him. He said it’ll be embarrassing to tell his coworkers that I decided not to take the job, and I get that, but I’m also angry. He knew this wouldn’t work. He’s done stuff like this a few times, saying I can get a job but then saying I’d have to make enough to pay all the bills so he can quit because “one of us needs to be with her at all times.” I’m definitely not taking this job, because it’d hurt our daughter. But it’s so frustrating, we talked about me getting a job so much and it’s like he says it to please me and then rips it away. Some might think I’m a bad mom for wanting to work instead of being with her all day, but it just helps me keep my mind straight and gives me energy. I hate feeling like I’m just a mom (there’s nothing wrong with just being a mom, just my personal preference) and he’s known how I felt about this for years, before I even got pregnant. I’d be content with a job that would just cover daycare and gas, and he’s been against it ever since she was born. I feel like I’m going crazy, because even while I was pregnant he would always say that he didn’t mind me working something like that, but it changed so fast. Am I crazy? Who knows.
