My LB is 10 weeks old. His been having 180ml / 6oz bottles (breast milk) as well as boob throughout the day . Although content after the bottle he’s never milk drunk! Should I be upping the amount a little when giving bottles ? Tia x

if he’s draining the bottles consistently then slowly up it, however most babies won’t drink as much breast milk from the bottle compared to formula as it’s more calorific. We combi feed and currently give between 120 - 150ml each feed but we just follow her cues.

From what I understand breastfed babies generally only have 4/5oz per feed because the composition of breast milk changes so the volume never needs to increase.

Do you have troubles with reflux or sickness at all?

My formula fed baby hasn’t been milk drunk since the very early weeks. I just think they start gaining too much awareness of their surroundings and it’s just not so much of a thing as the weeks go on x

Im not sure at this point they do the milk drunk anymore 🤷🏼‍♀️ unless it's different for other people but my boy is 12 weeks this week and I can't remember the last time he looked milk drunk, I EBF but he is also fighting sleep so probs too busy fighting to allow the milk drunk lol

Do you stick to the 30 minute car seat advice ?

We live in a small village and the 2 nearest cities are around 45 minutes from us. Seems silly to get the baby out for the sake of 15 minutes

Stepkids (12F, 17M) hating the new pregnancy.. how to handle?

Hey everyone, looking for advice on navigating some tough stepfamily dynamics.

My partner and I have been together for a while. There was a lot of drama with his ex at the beginning, so the kids didn't like me initially. I get why the transition was hard, but we're running into a wall now that I gave birth.

The 12-year-old daughter has been super moody and upset about the pregnancy, especially stressing over whether it's a girl (we waited till I gave birth to find out the gender). On a recent FaceTime (which included the ex and the 17yo son), she literally sat in the background the whole time texting, ignoring us completely.

It really unsettled me especially the thought of her resentment if I had a daughter. I gave birth to a baby boy but still.

How do you guys handle stepkids who are openly resentful about a new baby, and how do you set boundaries with FaceTime calls when the ex is involved? Any advice is appreciated!

Getting angry

So recently my 2 year old has learned that he gets mad/ frustrated . Some girl took the ball from him like 2 times and the 3rd time he got mad and kinda growled but like when you’re mad. Then I bought him Legos and he’s learning some pieces are hard to stick together well he built a tower and screamed I’m mad right now ! And I told him it’s ok take a deep breath and let’s pick them up. And I just started reading tiny humans big emotions. Now I guess I better hurry up but for now how do you guys handle situations like these especially in public I know it starts at home but I need advice for both just so I don’t tell him the wrong thing and make him feel like he can’t cry or have feelings

Baby boy changes clothes 😳

Just fully changed vest and pjs number 4 or 5 in 24 hours oh myyyyyy. Between sneaky pees while changing nappy, poop or pee leak, and spit ups my washing is crazy! Usually 2 sleeping bags and at least 1 new sheet per each night also due to spit ups in bed 😖😖😖 ps spit ups are small but somehow with angle he soaks his whole arm so I have no choice… And of course they HATE the changing and scream!
