Natural Induction Methods For FTM’s

Hey mommas!!!! Quick question!! I am 38 weeks today, and I’m at the point where I’m honestly ready to meet baby boy😭 for any moms on here who have already had a baby prior or heck even FTMs on here that attempted natural at home methods to start labor and had success, could you please share what worked for you. I’ve heard nipple stimulation can work I heard hand stimulation as well as using an electric breast pump can help, but I didn’t know if you ladies had any other suggestions, or if stimulation worked or if you tried everything and it all was unsuccessful lol. (Also I do not have a partner, so sex is unfortunately the one thing I can’t choose) and THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR THE MOMMA ADVICE 😭😂

Try nipple stimulation my doctor said that it works🤷🏻‍♀️

I have heard both spicy and greasy food can help. Walking as well

Curb walking, nipple stimulation, acupuncture

I tried like 20 things and the only thing that worked for me was this labor inducing workout. I did it two times in a row and went into labor ~3hrs later

Clary sage and sitting in a deep squat helped me a lot

Literally the only two things you can do at home that have any physiological significance are sex and nipple stimulation.

Basically anything else is just going to be what happened to be done by someone when their body was already ready to go into labor.

Definitely check out evidence based birth website for natural induction tips! They go over primrose oil, eating dates, acupuncture etc

12 week scan

Got my 12 week dating scan booked and I’m honestly feeling so upset and lost about what to do 😔❤️

We literally have no one around us who can have our 17-month-old while we go. He doesn’t go to nursery as I’m a SAHM, and unfortunately children aren’t allowed in the scan room.

It feels like our only option is for my partner and our little boy to wait in the waiting room while I have the scan alone. But that means my partner misses out on seeing our baby for the first time, and equally, I really don’t want to be on my own if there were to be any bad news. I just feel like I need him there with me, whatever the outcome. 😢

I know lots of people probably have to deal with this kind of situation, but I genuinely don’t know what the answer is. We don’t have family nearby that we can ask, and I’m really struggling with the thought of having to choose between my partner being there for me and him getting to see baby.

Has anyone else been in this situation? What did you do? ❤️

Inducing labour naturally

Has anyone attempted to induce labour at home by having sex?
Did it work? Or is it another myth? 😂 I'm at the point where I'll try almost anything to get this baby out now 😂

Bleeding 😢

Just gone go the toilet and I’m bleeding bright red blood & it’s there every time I wipe
Looks like the first day of my period.
I’m nearly 8 weeks pregnant
I’m so scared.
Just called 111 and waiting for a call back from my doctors.
I don’t have any cramping but just feeling so down now 😢

Pessary induction

I’m currently getting induced. I’ve been in hospital since Thursday. I had a pessary put in as soon as I arrived and had it in for 24 hours. I had period like cramps after having it but nothing else happened. Yesterday I was told I wouldn’t need another one and instead my waters would be broken today. Just been told by my midwife that I’m having another pessary today (I haven’t had my cervix checked since I arrived in hospital at 6:30am Thursday) Did anyone else have a second pessary and did it do anything?? Feel like I wasted a whole day yesterday doing nothing when I could’ve had the pessary in and out by now. Just so frustrated

Hospital bag

Did you find the normal sized bag was sufficient for your multiples?

One of my babies will need surgery and a longer stay, so I'm thinking I should skip the basic bag and go straight for a duffle/weekend bag full of baby supplies?

What do you suggest ☺️
