My oldest is 22 months and is such a daddy’s girl. When our second child was born in November, she was super helpful around the house. Wanting to help throw her diaper away and what not. Lately my husbands job has been having him work 68 hour weeks. Our oldest is starting to act out alot more, not wanting to help out anymore. My husband thinks it’s because he’s working so many hours and not being home as much. She does put her fingers in her ears when she’s screaming. I dont know if it is a phase or she’s teething. We give her so much love and cuddle her to calm down, but it feels like it’s never enough.😔😔

I don't have a second so I see my daughter as a baby still tbh. I don't think it's a realistic expectation for her to help you. I don't think she is not helping anymore as a way of acting out, she probably just doesn't want to. Throwing away diapers isn't new and entertaining anymore. If she's having tantrums all you can do is wait it out and not give in, this is the age where they're testing boundaries so make sure you set them. You're doing enough it's just a hard age (the terrible 2s)
