Has your child(ren) ever made an unauthorized purchase on one of your accounts?

I left my son to watch tv alone in my room while I switched the laundry over and not 2 minutes went by before I got a notification thanking me for a 1 year peacock subscription of $116.

Luckily Roku refunded me and I’ve since added a pin but now I know it really is that easy for kids to make quick and expensive purchase without us knowing.

Not personally but I used to work in a phone shop and the amount of kids purchasing stuff on game on their parents phone was insane especially Roblox, it added to their phone bill!

My toddler is 3. She cant read and even if she couldnshe doesn't understand the concept of money really. She knows we use the card and cash to buy things but doesn't fully understand that the money has to be earned hence why her mom leaves us to go to work hahaha

So everything on the tablet is locked down. If she accidentally presses some button on her learning app (they slide in little extra games to purchase) she has to come to me to type in the password 🤣

Shes not allowed to have the tv remote. She knows shes allowed to push the ourselves and play button, that's it. Anytime i caught her playing with it (around like 1.5yrs) ive taken it from her and turned the tv off. So she absolutely knows that she has one button she can touch. She doesn't even pick it up. She just touches the button 🤣🤣

Not me but my parents years ago caught my brothers late night movie purchases. Luckily he was a teenager so they made him pay them back

Mine bought like 2 episodes of paw patrol before

Our 2yr old did! That’s why we had to put parental passcodes on our tvs lol. He’ll just keep clicking on the remotes. That’s how we got so many unauthorized purchases 🤦🏾‍♀️😂😂

Mine got a hold of our remote and started pressing buttons and before I could reach him he had rented a movie off vudu for $29

Mine got a hold of my kindle and managed to buy a £25 book on how to make your own pasta 😂

Not me but my sister in law got some random packages from Amazon once. My nephew had ordered some new stuff on her credit card 😅

I have parental controls for this reason

Even for myself cuz it’s easy to hit something by accident lol

When our daughters are grown

Are we teaching them that circumcised boys are dirty and unclean?

You’re at the check out and notice the cashier gives you senior citizen discount. You’re very clearly under the cut off. Would you be excited for the extra savings or offended?

Turns out Monday morning at my Kroger and the lady slipped it in without saying anything. This has happened to my mom before and we were both obviously happy with a random discount but one of my sisters in law said she’d die if that happened to her because she’d be so embarrassed 😂

Something you’d never buy second hand?

What is something you’d never buy second hand and can’t believe people do. For me it’s clearly very worn shoes or mattresses🥴

Childcare Funding help

So my LO is under 2 and goes to nursery 2 full days a week. Me and husband both worked and got the 30 government funded hours. However my husband has recently lost his job of 8 years due to the company going under.

The worst part is he lost his job the day before I gave birth to our second child. So now I'm on rubbish maternity pay and he's got no earnings.

I'm wondering if we still entitled to any funded hours or not? I just don't want my LO to lose his place as obviously my husband is trying to get a job and when I go back to work we will need the childcare.

Has anyone been in this situation? Is there a grace period? Tyia!

Marriage struggles

Can someone who has had bad marriage problems before and gotten through it message me? I feel so alone in the situation I'm in and can't talk to my family about it and my unmarried friends are no help. Saying "just leave" is not helpful. If you can relate please comment so I can message you. I just really need either advice or just someone to talk to. Thanks 🩵
