Hello all,
My daughter has been attending nursery for nearly a year now, I have noticed the lack of artwork coming home. Especially during Mother's Day and it being my child's first Mother's Day whilst at nursery, I would have thought that some artwork or crafts would have been created. Anyone else have similar scenarios ? Would you question the lack of artwork coming home?

I would mention it in passing as tho u were wondering if they do things for stuff like mother's day.
My kids nursery sent stuff home for different occasions especially mothers day. They also had a folder for each child where they put things in and told the parents they cud pick up what was in the folder whenever they fancied or it was sent with the child at the end of each term.

definitely strange! you should ask!

I’d say it depends on the age! My son started nursery after just turning 1 and at that age wasn’t really capable of doing much craft wise so we only really got stuff for events like Mother’s/Father’s Day, where they provided a card that our son had just basically stuck stuff on and a little gift (laminated bookmarks with finger painting marks and stamps, and the staff had handwritten a message on). He moved up to the next age group room shortly after turning 2 and now he usually comes home with one or more drawing in his backpack most weeks as they have a colouring station in that room (though most of them are literally just faint squiggles so we only really hang them up if it’s a special piece he is actually excited to show us) ☺️
So if they didn’t do anything at all for Mother’s Day, then that is definitely a little unusual I would think
