Just looking for some advice really. I know at this age (18 weeks) she will most likely be going through sleep regression BUT I have been thinking for a while now about the time to put her in her own cot.. she’s in a next to me one at the moment and is constantly hitting the sides with her feet and she’s waking up so so much! Has any other mums moved their babies to their own room?
We have the owlet sock and camera so of course would keep an eye on her and I’m planning on sleeping in the room with her to begin with just to see if she sleeps any better. I know it’s advised 6 months due to SIDS but feel as though we would all get better sleep
I don’t really know what to do as me and my partner are EXHAUSTED
P.s she does nap through the day really well in her own bed so she is used to it

If it helps our routine is she baths at 5.45 feeds about 6.20 in bed and asleep by 6.45. I just don’t know if we doing something wrong

I’ve moved my boy into his own room, I know it’s controversial and I’m aware of the SIDS advice but it’s worked for me. I actually think I sleep worse now though because I’m constantly checking the monitor, and if he’s not moving I go in to check 🙈

Our 18 week old boy is the same, but it’s more so his weight that we’re concerned about with his next to me! He’s just at the weight limit now which is 9k! So we’re considering moving our draws into his room and moving his cot into our bedroom u til he’s 6 months old. Is this something you can consider?x

I moved my boy into his own room at 17 weeks and it was the best thing I’ve done. He would always wake himself up in his next to me by bashing off the sides and wriggling around so much, but we just moved him into his room one night without introducing naps during the day for a “ break in period” and he’s slept so much better! We’re now in the sleep regression stage so it is a pain having to get up to a different room but I know he gets a better quality sleep and so do I knowing he’s sleeping better in his cot and not being disrupted in his next to me!
