When is the best time to baby proof the apartment/home (cover corners etc)? Anyone got any advice on what is essential to baby proof? Has anyone NOT done it? Any advice is very welcome xx

I only stuck some rubber corners on the bottom of a floating wall cabinet (she was crawling with her head facing down when she started and would end up crawling into the edge or under it) and locks on our bottom kitchen draws, especially where I have some cleaning and laundry products stored. Didn’t need to do much else.
Any chemicals stored at baby’s level must be locked away, preferably out of reach. Wardrobes, dressers and cabinets mounted to the wall. If you have stairs, I believe the top baby gate must be drilled to the wall and not a tension type.

The only thing I did was put baby gate on the kitchen and bottom of the stairs as there’s no doors on them..
And she’s never had an accidents or anything, she’s nearly 3, I’m expecting my second and will be doing the same.
I wouldn’t over think it.
I just use to tell her firmly ‘no don’t touch that’
We also have a coal fire (not in use) I just removed the coal to that.
