is there any one on here that had or has pregnancy diabetes.
so my results were all fine accept the one after the drink that was 10.0 and now im having to watch what I eat and prick my self 4 times a day.
I'm just wondering if there was any one around that same mark as I am that ended up coming off it all and went back to there normal self or is this going to be me right until the end im 28 weeks on tuesday ive cut out my fizzy juice my chocolate and yes ive started having a lunch but im bloody starving all the time and now im scared that because baby is growing alot more now that im starving him as feels like it i loved having wee snacks during the day to keep hunger away before dinner time but now I have this worry that if I have a snack 2 hours before my dinner that is my dinner ruined not because I wont eat it all but because the bloods will go up high and then thats another meal I cant have. I live with a chef so there is alot less sugar in my dinners which is a bonus but portion size I feel like a child again having to cut it down. Honestly this is the worst thing that can happen threw pregnancy take me back to the time you can eat what you want when you want and everything wasn't timed. Can't even go out for a nice meal or a lunch as scared that it will bring my levels right up this worrying isnt doing me any favours sooner my little healthy boy is in my arms the sooner I can start enjoying food again as im certainly not enjoying this

Once you have it you have it for the rest of your pregnancy. It can be managed by diet, portion control for carbs and it's about pairing what you eat with fats and what order you eat things. If you are unable to control it with diet, they move onto metformin and then insulin.
