Hi ladies.
I’m currently 30 weeks + 1 day, I’ve had my midwife appointment which ended up going to triage and having an emergency scan, to then see the Docter who mentioned placenta abruption, but they didn’t really go into to much detail, just told me no heavy lifting, avoid using the hoover 🤷♀️ baring In mind I work in hospitality so on my feet a lot etc, also be told to call triage immediately if I have more reduced movements, bleeding or loss of fluids.
Has anyone had any experience with placenta abruption that could in lighten me a little I know everyone’s difference but I just feel a bit lost 😂

What symptoms did you have before find out about it?

Placenta abruption is where the placenta comes away from the uterus it’s an emergency, if you had that or they suspected you had that you wouldn’t be going home you’d be having an emergency c section because babies can’t survive if the placenta is not attached and women can bleed internally. Im a midwife so I’ve seen a few in my time. I’m wondering if it’s not placental abruption they are referring to x

I think it depends how severe the placenta abruption is, if it’s stage 1 they tend to just recommend pelvic/bed rest; stage 2/3 is the more severe ones leading to a c section need; but I’m not sure something I read up myself due to bleeds I’ve had x hopefully everything is all good they should’ve scheduled u in for a follow up scan
I haven’t experienced ANYYY painful braxton hicks during my pregnancy. absolutely 0! it’s just been “oh that’s solid” and maybe just a bit harder to breathe. no pain or even discomfort, AT ALL!
I am kind of annoyed by this. because yes, it’s nice. but I have never had a baby before. I feel like because I’ve experienced NO pain, it’ll make labour feel even worse. if that makes sense? obviously even if you’ve had painful braxton hicks, labour is still painful. but it probably isn’t AS bad as you’ve experienced practice ones..you know?? so you know at least a little percent of what you’ll be feeling/dealing with.
I’m just scared I’m COMPLETELY UNPREPARED for the pain. does anyone else feel the same?

Ive had a C section & have a great support system. My parents and husband ensure i get enough rest by taking care of the baby. Baby is healthy and im healthy too. Yet i find myself sometimes reliving my entire pregnancy journey in my mind or start feeling low for absolute no reason at all. Is it the hormones or what is exactly happening with me?

I’m supposed to go this week for my glucose test and everyone says the drinks are horrible. I’m so nervous and I’ve been nauseous the entire pregnancy so far and don’t want to have to redo it or for me to puke. How was it for u guys?

I have Cystic Fibrosis and I am 27+5. My midwife requested an appointment with the anaesthetic doctor so I’ve been to that today and I feel like she’s forcing me to have the epidural when I really don’t want it. She says it’ll help with my lung capacity so she wants me to have the epidural straight away as soon as I’m in labour. However, my CF team have said I am and my lungs are healthy enough to give birth as a normal woman, so I can have gas and air etc. the anaesthetic doctor didn’t ask me what my lung function was or nothing. I’ve been so healthy the past 6 years so I really don’t think I need the epidural. I’m a bit of a push over so I feel like I will end up having the epidural even though I don’t want it. How do I get around this? It’s upset me and annoyed me at the same time cause she’s made me think I’m not healthy enough to give birth without the epidural
