2 under 2 and having a c-section

Has anyone had a C-section with a little one at home ?

I’m due my baby at the end of May and my daughter he we will be 20 months - there’s a high chance I’ll end up having a c-section but I’m so worried about how I’ll cope after my husband returns to work after the 2 week paternity leave.

How have people managed with not
being able to drive or lift their toddler ?

Following because I’m on the same boat. Our son will be in 19 months when our new baby arrives in Sept.

It’s so exciting that they’ll be growing up together but the c-Section recovery is scary.

I literally have no village, all of my relatives have passed away and in laws are hopeless so I am just praying I do not get this outcome. I wish you all the best though and I hope you figure it out x

I had two c-sections 12 months apart currently 7.5 months postpartum. I found it not to be too bad I found the recovery went really smooth and even with a 12 month old. However that was my experience but if you have any other support use it as much as possible. I was back driving after 2 weeks so didn’t have too many issues.

My little girl was 12 months when I had my C-section. Obviously it’s different for everyone but I was up and about pretty normally after a week. It does help to have your partner really hands on at first till you’re ready or to tell your little one to stay off you but I’m sure you’ll be ok. Don’t push yourself but at the same time don’t just stay in bed/sat all day to build yourself back up! Also take the meds when you need them. Good luck with everything ☺️

Hi I don’t drive anyways but I had an emergency c-section after a placental abruption so I had no idea it was going to happen I had a vaginal birth with my son and was meant too be a home birth second time round my little ones were 12 months and a few days apart I’d say the only time I truly struggled was those first two weeks while my partner was off day 4 was my most uncomfortable, keep your expectations low your body healing is important especially with having 2 under 2! I realised after my section I much preferred keeping myself walking than sitting down too get back up staying active helps relieve the pain but do make sure too take rests when you feel you need just have relax days in the house do little activities I bought arts and crafts box and sensory boxes so i could do that while my partner was at work with my son so I still felt I was doing stuff during the day, then it was still my son was learning and having fun and I could also rest in the house and feel comfortable xxx

I had 2 toddlers at home waiting on me while I was having my 3rd baby … I had a c-section with my 3rd , I couldn’t hold them till I was 6 weeks pp .. every movement, every cough , every bump , the car ride back home was painful … I felt so helpless 😩 my babies cried cause I couldn’t hold them broke my heart… i secretly hold them even tho I wasn’t supposed too .. my 2nd weeks pp my body felt fine it’s like I didn’t have a c-section , i started driving at 2 weeks didn’t hurt , I just didn’t lift anything more then 15 pounds …the first week was horrible for me .. just rest and take it easy & you will be fine , you gonna get the hang of it ❤️
