My son is about 4.5 weeks old. Most days he just sleeps on my chest most of the day, which I am okay with but I don't want to miss out on anything we should be doing. My son gets overwhelmed very easily so we usually do one "activity" a day max right now (such as bath, long walk, or having visitors). We do tummy time at least every other day, try to do every day. I read to him, sing to him, and of course talk to him. Is there anything else ya'll are doing with your LOs?

Lol, nope. Eat, sleep, shxt. Sounds about right. šš

Nope this is the big cuddle and sit on a couch stage, nothing to be done!

I used to feel guilty sitting there. Now my lil mans 1 and i misd those moments haha. Enjoy while you can. As long as little one is fed and clean then youve done your job. ALSO dont forget your self care too... sounds daft but easy to forget

Sounds about right šš¼
Sleeping on your chest or held on your chest also counts as tummy time š

Snuggle and snack and binge watch all the TV you want. Read a story or 2 while theyre awake. Go for walks if you feel like it.

You are doing everything you need to do already, just sink into the slow days for a while. If you really want to feel like you are ādoing somethingā, you could get into the habit of narrating what you are doing out loud to them, even the simplest things like giving a play by play on tidying the kitchen. But your baby is developing in amazing ways just by getting their basic needs met and existing right now.š

He doesn't need a ton of stimulation. Babies know what they need to do for development, it's all instinct and intuition. Enjoy the bonding time and trust it. Anyone who says you need specific activities or toys is selling you something.

Totally fine just relax with baby ! Mine is almost 4 months now so we play on the floor a lot but she still canāt do much š«
