I had an emergency c-section and like most it just was the complete opposite of everything I had hoped my birthing experience would be like. I’d really to try for VBAC next time but absolutely petrified of uterine rupture… anyone else the same?

Exactly the same I understand how you feel! Commenting to see if anyone shares their VBAC story :)

When I was going to do that after emergency c I asked the same thing and many people said it was safe for them and they waited after 2 years before trying for vbac
However I found out I was high risk of rapture just a month before my due date and had to do another c section 😭
Anyways my point is get them to check your files extensively
I told them this the second time I got pregnant but they said they couldn’t find it in my records so they said I should be fine for vbac… then when we were at the last check up they said they couldn’t believe the midwife missed it, it’s clear in the files 😭

Had an emergency c section September 2023. Just had my first VBAC earlier this month. It was SO healing from my first birth.
Evnen though it didn’t go quite as planned (I wanted full natural but need low Pitocin & caved for epidural) but It still was absolutely perfect & id do it 100 more times!!

Unless you got pregnant within months of giving birth uterine rupture is very rare. They advise 18 months between labours to help that risk level be at its lowest but people have given birth sooner successfully. I did at the time find it really odd when the doctor said see you in two years for your VBAC as if the entire process of an emergency c section hadn't traumatised me soooo bad

I gave birth 6mths ago via emergency C-section and just found out I'm 8wks pregnant and absolutely shitting myself. I've had 3 normal deliveries prior to this emergency C-section in August 2025
