Swaddling

Hi there,

When did you guys stop swaddling your babies? I think it says something like when they are able to roll over on their own etc but I have been cosleeping with my son for a few weeks now (he’s 10 weeks now) & the last few nights I have no been swaddling him and he seems to be doing okay but was wondering if that’s the right thing to do? I know every baby is different but I’m just curious to hear from others

For their safety, stop swaddling as soon as your baby can roll over ‼️

When you had a baby and you decided to breast feed did you feel that nurses were pushing formula?

My baby is not even 2 days old and she's been nursing super well according to the lactation specialist. She was born by c section so weight loss is expected to be higher than by vaginal birth due to the fluids given. I'm booked into see my doctor for the baby and I and lactation consultant at the doctors yet this nurse won't stop asking if I want to give formula so she can pee more and gain back her weight fast.

You just changed your baby’s diaper, but realise you have to use the bathroom. Do you wash your hands..

Should I make a poll series on hand washing because I’ve been here long enough to know it’s not happening as much as it should lol

Reducing formula feeds

I've just been told by my nursery that they wont give bottles of/and formula from 1 year one, my little boys 1 in 3 weeks.
Looking for advice on how to reduce his formula intake?
Hes loves both food and milk 🫣 I think he will drink cows milk so that's not the issue im more concerned about the fact that hes in a routine with his bottles.

Help

I s it possible to get an emergency pair of glasses? So my little boy was born this morning at 24 weeks + 3 days. I usually wear glasses a but left then at home (and all other bits ) as we assumed we’d be sent home again like we had been many times for bleeding / fluid leakage (obvs that wasn’t the case) and now I’ll potentially be stuck an hour away from home without my glasses for weeks. Which obvs isn’t good how can I get a free emergency pair???

Baby won’t go in pram

Hi my 9 week old hates the pram. She screams the entire time she’s in there. I’m at a loss. She’s never liked it. She will go in the baby carrier happily but is completely against the pram. Any advice

Am I doing things wrong?

My friend and her mum just came round to see me and my 5 month old and every time they tried to hold her she cried with real tears. She does this with everyone at the moment unless its me or my partner or my sister for some reason. My friend who has no kids said you need to leave the room as she spends too much time with you and the mum said I need to spend time away from her regularly which i said I can't as a breastfeed. They asked how we slept to which I said co sleep and she wakes quite a lot in the night and the mum said that her crying with others is my fault, that i need to be tougher and let her cry as she will struggle when shes goes to nursery. Friend also doesnt get why i cant go out in the evenings which i said is because of breastfeeding and cosleeping and to be honest I just don't want to. Doothers agree with them? I dont leave my baby at all, 1 hour max with my husband and I sleep with her and cuddle her when she cries in night. Am I doing it wrong and will she struggle at nursery when shes one? 😭
