Hi!
Bit of background information I am Irish however have been living in the UK for three years now, at the end of April myself, my partner, and our 2 and a half year old will be moving back to Ireland!
We will be living with my parents for a few weeks whilst renovations are being finished at our new apartment.
I tried to potty train my daughter at the beginning of the year however she wasn’t taking to it and everyone was getting stressed so we took a break, I had planned to resume again when we had settled back in Ireland. In the meantime we’re still talking about the potty, reading potty books etc. last night completely unprompted she took herself to the potty for a poo! I was thinking that maybe she’s ready?
Am I crazy attempting to potty train her before such a big life change? She will have a new house, new area, new country, and will be leaving her nursery that she’s been attending since she’s 1

I know they say a big life event can cause a regression, but the solo poop on the potty was also our kickstart to just do it. Seems too good an opportunity to miss? It’s not an instant thing anyway, don’t try and do nights and naps right away. Worst case you back track a little. But you have a solid month to bed it in before the move!
