Hey mamas! Struggling over here to find the time to do it all, even with partner support. Has anyone done a meal delivery service? I've only heard of Hello Fresh but I know there are others. Thoughts? Experiences? Worth the price? Looking for any way to make our lives easier!

Factor meals / easy microwave meals or salads

https://www.cookfood.net/
lifesaver first few weeks till i got in a routine about 10 quid a meal but good portion size 5 meals for 50£ where i probably spend more than that grocery shopping

Blue Apron is legitimately the best decision I ever made aside from like having my actual kids. It’s so much easier than trying to come up with meals every night of the week, eliminates so much stress and has my whole family including a 4 year old eating and trying so many things we never would. We’ve used it for about 8 years now and I could never go back. We did briefly try Hello Fresh and preferred Blue Apron - the portions are larger, the food especially the meat was much fresher and a higher quality and we just liked it better overall.

As someone mentioned, factor meals are good. I do them for my work lunches when I’m in a pinch for the week. I think it’s worth the convenience. I buy two weeks at a time and freeze them. Microwave as needed.

I have been a Gousto subscriber since 2022 and love it. I love that I don’t need to plan meals or shopping lists. The food just turns up every Sunday and we cook it.

You can also use ai to generate meals with recipes, shopping lists and total spend estimates

If you have a Costco near you, I know they have a lot of meals that are easy to just throw in the oven. Not quite delivery, but you’ll likely have more control over what meals you get and still enjoy the ease of just having to heat it up!

My SO’s best friend got us CookxUnity which was an absolute lifesaver during the newborn phase! We ordered more ourselves & love it. Hoping to get more since SO is overseas for work 🤞🏻 I’ve never meal planned in my life & don’t really want to start because how do you make something at the end of a week for a week & just eat that? Do they not go bad after a few days? It’s such an odd concept to me!

It does help but I preferred https://www.spatulafoods.com/?source=gads&medium=brand&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21001266363&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ZjOBhCmARIsADDuFTDaE8WtqQIY7S95I0C87ZNw63z-RpK343OS2FlOjlCR_y0rVq2o_iIaApKjEALw_wcB

We did hello fresh for a bit. Got backed up on leftovers 😅

Oh if you do hello fresh, go for the family size so you cook once and have leftovers for the next day

someone mentioned cook unity and I second that. We’ve been on it for like 8 months now and not only does it save time spent in the kitchen, it has also improved my mental health not having to brainstorm what to mix up for lunch or dinner. Ready-made meals stay fresh until best by date .. excellent packaging no need to freeze!
