so I have been told my baby is on the bigger side and thats all i can remember from my last appointment 2 weeks ago lol...
I didnt ask any questions like what is he weighing or what will the out come be and that was down to I had to much information on my head to ask my diet nurse as I have been diagnosed with GD...so my main goal was to ask them questions on what I can eat and cant eat so I dont keep spiking lol..
so getting to the point I haven't went natural im on my second baby and my first baby was born 6.5 though the graph they use to measure baby it was all over the place one measured him big then another small so they decided to bring me in for the sweep and then next thing I knew I was being brought in 10 days earlier than my due date to be induced as they said he will be better out than in but he was a healthy boy and is still growing and healthy 7 years later.
So my question is how is a c section is it scary, what's the recovery time, how early can you start driving and getting back to normal life sorry ive all these questions as never actually thought that a c section could be in the basket....only reason im asking is because of being told baby is on the bigger side but ive an appointment on the 13th so I will actually know better then what is he weighing and what would the outcome be now that I dont need to ask any questions about GD its all now questions about my babies weight and what labour ill be going through...by time that appointment comes up ill be 30 and 6 days so im hoping im able to get a good bit of information

I wouldn't worry too much. At my first measurement, I was in the 97th percentile so they sent me for a scan and it turned out I was actually in the 81st. Still big, but so much can change in the next few weeks.

I wouldn’t worry about baby being bigger. Lots of women still vaginally deliver bigger babies and in all honesty the measurements really aren’t that accurate anyway!
As for a csection it depends on the women . My son was born via emergency csection which is supposed to make recovery longer being that it’s more traumatic however I was back to doing everything (slow and steady) within 10 days other than bending down and lift which took weeks longer because of the risks associated with them. I was driving by 14 days pp. but some people really struggle with the recovery and take between 6-12 weeks to get back to normal.
I’m opting for a csection after my emergency csection so wouldn’t say it was scary at all 😅 I’m more scared of things going wrong if I tried to have a vaginal birth again

I had a planned section with my first and am having another one. Recovery was really not bad, the worst bit was the trapped wind but people had given me advice about how to prepare and that helped a lot. I was out and about and walking happily at a very similar time to friends who delivered vaginally. I felt it was sold to me as the difficult option but it didn’t really feel like it. It was very calm and quite nice!
