What do you find helpful from others?

People mostly want to see the baby, which I get, but I am incredibly sleep deprived and need help myself, not just someone seeing my baby.

I did get an offer of looking after him whilst I sleep, but not sure I would feel comfortable with that or not. Depends who is doing the looking after, he is breastfed.

What do you find genuinely helpful from family/ friends?

Other people cooking freezable and easily reheated meals for us. Something with everything you need in a meal. Or something you only need to boil pasta with or even microwave rice.
For someone to empty/ refill a dishwasher or wash the pots for us.

As Sarah said, food deliveries are a huge help!
I did have my parents watch baby while I bathed a few times as I trust them 100%.
Even just someone to make me a cuppa was nice

I genuinely feel worse than in the newborn stage. The support in terms of meals seems to disappear after that 😞

Big bed

Did anyone put their little ones into a Montessori bed or toddler bed early? I’m due my second baby in September and I love our cot and would love to get more use out of it. But my daughter will only be 17 months when baby arrives.

I was thinking of using the cot for the baby/going in the babies room and then getting my girl a Montessori bed but before baby arrives to avoid too many transitions at once.

Wondered if anyone has done the same and it didn’t ruin their sleep ect?

What age did you stop breastfeeding?

So I love my breastfeeding journey and I’m not trying to stop anytime soon. My youngest just turned 1. Does anyone have any positive stories to share about their journey and how you dealt with things like biting, dips in supply, or self-weaning?

I’m lost

My daughter turns 6 months soon and will not stop crying. She has NEVERRR been like this at all. I put her down, she cries, I hold her, she cries. I am so tired and slowly going insane. I don’t know why she’s so sad. She doesn’t want a bottle, she doesn’t want to play and she doesn’t want to sleep. Someone please tell me this is normal or if I should take her to a doctor

Changing diaper

I have a question.. do y’all change your babies diapers during nap time while being out? My baby fell asleep and needs a diaper change.. but he struggled to fall asleep and I feel so bad waking him up to change his diaper because I know he won’t fall back asleep

Do you think a mom can be committing SA to make her 3 year old nurse?

My friend nurses her 3 year old boy. It was super uncomfortable because she said it’s time for a feed and he threw a fit and said he didn’t want to and then she basically made him. It was weird.
