Cry

Hey! I just need some advice, please.

My nearly 6 week old girl is so unsettled. She eats well and naps well, however when she’s awake she’s fine for about 5 minutes and then starts crying. I settle her, but 5 minutes later it happens again. This goes on until her next feed.

I’m convinced she hates me 😓 What am I doing wrong?

I change her nappies (sometimes too often 😁) I feed her (Kendamil formula 4oz around every 2-3 hrs) and I always make sure she burps. We go for walks, I play with her, and I let her sit in her bouncer. I’ve literally tried everything but she still seems so unsettled after just 5 minutes 😢😢

Have you had her checked for a tongue tie? My youngest did this and he had an anterior tongue tie; we had it snipped and he was a different baby.

When they get close to 6 weeks they hit an developmental peak that causes them to be extra fussy.
My baba is going through it too, plenty of cuddles and feeding helps my LO to settle down.
Worse in the evenings

Formula ratio

I have just found out my partner mixed our daughters formula wrong this morning. He made a 180ml bottle and only put in 4 scoops of formula instead of 6 (we swapped between 120mls and 180mls throughout the day as she takes different amounts so he must have got confused).
I have looking into this online (I know I probably shouldn't have) but now I'm really worried.
Has anyone done this before ?
I'm a first time mum so not sure if im overthinking it.

4 month sleep regression?

What does / did the 4 month sleep regression look like for you? I honestly thought we had already had it as baby went from waking once per night for ages (which was lovvvvely) to 2 or 3 times per night recently

But for the past few nights, my LB has been waking literally EVERY hour & i'm wondering if THIS is the 4 month sleep regression that we all fear??? I'm exhausted

Vinted vs FB marketplace

I’ve got tons of stuff to get rid off. Mostly brand new clothing label on. Please comment any issues with either, never used both

Buggy decisions!

Hi! Has anyone started looking into buggies yet? We started last week, went to a John Lewis appt and attempted to get a deal at a baby show but left with nothing for both as we didn't want to rush it - it seems like an impossible decision!

I live in a ruralish area so need an all terrain and we're considering ones that allow you to double up as we're likely to want baby #2 in a couple years. Anyone else on this journey or have recommendations?

I'm not a great mother and I don't know how to fix it

This is hard to write.
I find myself easily losing my patience and I feel like I'm creating a horrible environment for my child. I don't think she's happy at home because she probably feels like she needs to be perfect all the time. She's only 3 so she can't tell me all of this but I have none of that cool fun mum in me at all and I find myself being that super strict person I always hated growing up, the person I never wanted to be.
But for some reason even knowing that I can't seem to just un-tense my shoulders and just relax with her, have a good time even if it's chaotic and messy. I don't know what's wrong with me and I don't know how to fix it. I'm meant to be starting therapy soon, but I feel like it's too late and the damage is done. I don't know why I made this post to be honest, but I'm hoping someone out there has all the answers and can maybe help?

How often is your baby waking up in the night?

My baby is 5 months old and waking up every 3 hours. Some nights he could do a 4 hour stretch and some he would do just 2. It’s a bit all over the place to be honest. Is it normal for so many wake ups at this age? What is everyone else’s baby doing?
