My kids love playing in puddles. A friend told me she never lets her kid because they could get dysentery if they accidentally get some in their mouths.

My son is feral, so I can’t stop him from playing in puddles even if I wanted to 🫣 so yes; playing in muddles, climbing trees, chasing squirrels & birds & jumping on big piles of leaves are his favorite activities. He actually loves the feeling of the mud puddles on his little hands and bare feet, I guess it’s jus playdough to him so I just let him play. He usually wants me to join bt this mama doesn’t like the mess, bt mud puddles are one of the things that I can gurantee will keep my son entertained by himself so of course I let him play. Have never heard of dysentery, so I guess we live and we learn something new everyday

We don’t get a lot of puddles here because it barely rains and is so dry lol but you bet when it does rain we take full advantage of the puddles.

I encourage all the puddles when he’s wearing rain boots 🤣

I can’t stop my kids from doing so , my child is 7 months but when she’s older for sure she’ll want to play in the dirt , rain, sand and snow. Why stop her when I used to do the same 🤷🏾♀️

To quote my parents (in a sarcastic voice) "oh no, how did we ever survive?"

What else is there to do with a toddler on a rainy day? They love it!
