Anyone else afraid of storms?

We are currently in the middle of storm Dave and definitey not the worst we've had. UK based here and I'm anxious af rn listening to the raging wind outside. Ever since I was a child I've been afraid of storms, thunder, lightning and freak weather. Snowing in April for example.

I literally lie awake listening to it and fear the damage it could cause. Going to Florida didn't help when catagory red hurricane was forecast to hit Miami. We went out of hurricane season too. Don't even get me started on the volcano that showed activity whilst we was in Bali.

Anyway is it just me or does anyone experience this? It really and I mean really sets me on edge. Particularly the trees for some bizzare reason. Also storm Denis blew half our roof off so there is that 🙈

Fried rice noodles 🍜

The first craving my Asian ancestors in my body is asking for during my first trimester.😎
I went from no appetite to have three bowls of them straight 😂
I feel pretty healthy too as I added in lots of bean sprouts, carrots cabbage, onion and broccoli for veggies; eggs, tofu and beef meatballs for protein.
Ahhh I am just so happy 😀

Elective C-section

Guys I'm 13 weeks but I'm already extremely terrified of birth and specially tearing and injuries down there. I'm thinking I'd rather suffer the pain from the c section than going through natural labour. I like the thought of everything being planned and I'd know what's going on. Any of you in a similar situation?

Early labour

So it has been a bit of joke with my husband that I won't realise when I'm in the early stages of labour as I will just crack on (I had a cyst 18 months ago which I just got on with as I didnt want to bother anyone)
Anyway to the point I'm 39+6 with our first. I've had loose BM for a couple of days and go to bed feeling sick for the last 3 nights. I have had a few cases of quite intense cramping but it only lasts a few seconds. Is this is all signs my body is preparing itself. I don't see my midwife till I'm 40+3 so can't ask her till then?
I haven't lost my mucus plug or atleast not noticeably.

Anyone else think the worst piece of advice for a first time mum is ‘you’ll be able to tell when you are in labour’!

Looking back I was in early labour for over a week, and while my hospital records say my labour was 1hr 14 mins it was actually closer to 10 hours. But I didn’t actually realise I was in labour ‘cause there would be no doubt about it’ so I only just made it to the hospital really!

It doesn’t help that I also mistook ‘regular contractions’ to mean they must be coming at regular intervals eg 1 min on 4 mins off, not like mine which were more like 1 min on 5 mins off 40s on 3 mins off ect.
