C section mamas - tummy and around the incision still tender?

I had my c section 3.5 weeks ago and generally I’m feeling good but if I touch or put any pressure on my stomach above my c section then it’s still pretty tender.

Do others have this?

The skin above mine feels super sensitive to touch but that’s pretty normal - apparently it’s due to having nerves cut.
As long as it’s not actually painful, scar is healing well and you’ve not got a fever etc, it will slowly continue to get better.

Doula

Hello! I hired a doula at 5 weeks and I’m currently 31 weeks. I have not really connected with her and I have connected much more with my OBGYN.

I also recently found out she’s a Trump supporter which makes me concerned about her beliefs about women’s right to choose. This seems to be in direct conflict with what I believed Doula’s did (empowered women to be in control of their labors).

Has anyone had concerns about their doula in their third trimester and decided to go without. I have a super supportive husband who is a doctor at the hospital I’m delivering at. I also am hoping that my sister who lives abroad can make the delivery. I feel like with the two of them, I won’t need to doula. I just feel like after all this time with her, it’s strange we are still not comfortable with each other.

I’d love to hear folks thoughts. This is not an invitation to argue about politics. If you are a Trump supporter just keep it moving.

Confused...

Hi, I’ve been trying to conceive for 3 years. My period was due today, but I haven’t had any of my usual signs. Normally, I get spotting before my period, but this time I haven’t had any at all.
Over the past week, I’ve been feeling quite nauseous, and for the last 4 days I’ve had PMS-like cramps in the centre, along with sharper pain on my right side. Yesterday I also experienced a pulling sensation, almost like I’d done an intense ab workout.
I’m feeling really confused because I took a test yesterday and it was negative. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I’m not sure why I’m experiencing these symptoms without my period starting.

Anyone else afraid of storms?

We are currently in the middle of storm Dave and definitey not the worst we've had. UK based here and I'm anxious af rn listening to the raging wind outside. Ever since I was a child I've been afraid of storms, thunder, lightning and freak weather. Snowing in April for example.

I literally lie awake listening to it and fear the damage it could cause. Going to Florida didn't help when catagory red hurricane was forecast to hit Miami. We went out of hurricane season too. Don't even get me started on the volcano that showed activity whilst we was in Bali.

Anyway is it just me or does anyone experience this? It really and I mean really sets me on edge. Particularly the trees for some bizzare reason. Also storm Denis blew half our roof off so there is that 🙈

How did you celebrate your baby’s 1st birthday?

So I’m basically going back and forth on doing something intimate and small with immediate family. Or something a little bigger. Because in all honestly my baby will be too small to even remember😭
