Panicked breastfeeding

Hi all, my little girl is 3 weeks old and exclusively breastfeeding (I'm also pumping so my husband can help me get naps in when baby is fussing). Problem is we seem to have the hungriest baby ever even outside of cluster feeds, but most importantly she goes through these panic moments where she just... freaks out on boob? Feels liks she's screaming for it but it's literally in her mouth. She's definetely drinking enough as she pulls off boob and milk sprays everywhere, and she's shot past her birth weight, our midwife even mentioned she's one of the fastest growing babies she's seen. So what's with the freakouts?? I end up crying in the dead of night every night atm 😅 I've tried making sure she's warm, burping her more, calming her but she still has those episodes. Overtiredness maybe?

To the mums of 2 kids

When and how did you know to have your second? My son doesn’t sleep well but this is the only difficulty we have with him, he’s an absolute angel otherwise. Me and my husband do want another, but when do you know when to try? My son is 9 months, and I think I want one sooner rather than later, so I don’t have to get used to sleep and no nappies to go through it all again. But then I question if I could cope with 2, or do you just get on with it?

Sleeping and breastfeeding

Baby slept from 12am to 5am last night but I woke up feeling really engorged. do other breastfeeding mums experience this? If so how do you resolve it?

I just want a day off.

I am EBF, so it’s not an option really. I doubt he would take a bottle at nearly 5 months and my plan was to feed until at least 6 months, but most probably beyond that. BF is easy in a way too!

The sleep regression has been wild. It’s getting me down. I just want one longer stretch of sleep. Not feeding every 30 mins-2 hours overnight. I resent my partner because of it, the freedom he has. He doesn’t even need to ask, he can just go somewhere alone. I have to ask for a break.

I really enjoyed motherhood up until now, where the lack of sleep is getting to me.

Post natal anxiety

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else suffered or suffers with post natal anxiety.
My husband is in the military and he was deployed for 4 months (he went when our daughter was 5 months old) 2 months into our deployment I began struggling with anxiety, severe panic attacks and OCD thoughts around health and safety. I put it down to him being away at first but then after some therapy it turned out to be post natal anxiety. I’ve had CBT therapy and I am doing a lot better than what I was doing but I still have that lingering but of anxiety which makes going out to coffee shops / restaurants / busy places still a bit of a struggle. It’s been around a month since my therapy stopped and was wondering how long did it take for people stopping therapy and working on themselves for the anxiety to stop! Thanks ☺️

Daytime naps

Where does everyone put their baby to nap in the daytime? At the moment mine just sleeps wherever (on me or the sofa) but thinking of maybe putting her to sleep in her cot?
