We've had a nightmare with our girl. She started settling sessions in February and it was going well, then once she started doing full days, she was very unsettled and the childminder was getting very stressed. She's now done a total of 4 full days but today I got called at 10.30am saying she was inconsolable and the childminder has decided she can no longer take her on as she can't meet the needs of the other kids. So I've started back at work today and now have no childcare. Annoyingly though, my daughter has been absolutely fine all day at home, playing independently and no crying at all, she just doesn't seem to do the same for the childminder. My son was always pretty easy when he settled at nursery 🤦🏼‍♀️

It's so hard isn't it, but just take each day as it comes and he might surprise you and really enjoy himself. I think my daughter is just having a rough few weeks with bad separation anxiety and she's teething so bad. Also most childminders are quite used to babies and will have tricks up their sleeve to help. Good luck, I hope it goes well for you and your boy x

Yes. My very very clingy baby started 2 mornings a week last week (to go upto 2 full days beginning of May then onto 3 full days come mid May). My husband drops him off so I think this made the transition better than me dropping off. He's made a friend and is generally happy 90% of the time. The nursery staff are really good which I think has helped it all for him, but also for me xx

Normal?

Hey guys I need help with knowing if this is normal.

My first born son was the easiest baby ever. Rarely cried at all!
My second born cries about everything. His diaper changes are traumatic because he won’t let you do it and the only way to get a diaper done is to pin him down (we’ve given him our phone, toys, chewies, sang to him, silly faces, played with him- he will not let a diaper change happen at all and just screams)
He won’t let us wipe his hands after mealtime he screams and flales.

You can’t distract him once he works himself up.

At the beginning I was like “this is normal” but now he’s 10.5 months and still screams every diaper change and hand wipe

Is this normal?

Bed time/ wake time

I have a five month old and really trying to figure out what time I should be putting her to bed. She wakes up at like 6:30am which is too early for me 😅

Any advice or mums who’ve figured it out?

Bedtime Advice Please

Hi,
Im a first time mum to a 6 week old. I’ve seen a lot of people say their baby sleeps longer stretches than mine. Since she was born, in the evening we’ve put her down in her Moses basket in the living room until me and my partner go upstairs to bed. She’s waking up 3 times in the night. Would she be better at sleeping if I put her down in the next to me upstairs earlier in evening with baby monitor and get her in more of a routine every night?
I don’t know if I’m being stupid but I think maybe if she’s in more of a set routine sooner rather than later it would be best?

Formula fed question

How much does your 11 week old baby get fed and how often?

Quick PSA

Don’t be a fool like me! Before you run upstairs to have a quickie with your husband make sure your baby monitor receiver is turned off so the whole rest of your house doesn’t hear ur shenanigans. 🫠🫠🫠
