Hey! My son just turned two April 4 and he is still only saying Mom and Dad he babbles but he's really not saying anything else every once in a while he'll say like a random word here and there but that's about it. Anyone else's two year-old not speaking I spoke with his pediatrician about it today, but I just kinda need some peace of mind.. nowadays everyone has to put a label on your child if they're not developing in certain ways he understands everything that you were saying to him and if he wants something, he'll grab my hand and walk me to it and point he just won't verbally say it and I just want to see if there's any other mamas out there who's two-year-olds aren't saying much? Here's a picture of my little cutie.🥰

Mine turns 2 in a week, and up until the last couple of weeks, he wasn’t saying much. Last couple of weeks it’s been a new word almost everyday out of the blue and even put two words together. Your son might be just around the corner from talking like crazy !

My son is turning 2 and also doesn’t say much - he’s been in early intervention for development intervention and occupational therapy for several months now and there’s been some improvement but he’s still behind and will be starting speech specific therapy soon. ALL kids go at their own pace and while it’s hard to not compare other kids with yours (mine STILL won’t say “momma” which is unbelievably hard) please try not to! I know a few adults now who were very late talkers and they’re completely normal, productive adults out in society. Do your due diligence and advocate for your kid, there are a lot of resources to use, but I’m SURE your little guy is gonna be A-OK!!!

mine (end of april baby) is also on a similar track as yours. my pediatrician said its not a big deal because she is saying words, it would be concerning if she wasnt communicating at all. i really wouldn’t be too concerned until 3/4 years old.
