Ferber method

Those that have tried and succeeded with Ferber method for sleep training, was your baby hysterically crying and going mental when you started? Mine goes absolutely beside herself the moment she’s placed in her cot. I leave the room for maybe 2 minutes I can’t handle anymore than that and then I give up because she doesn’t stop crying until I pick her up. Her face so wet covered in tears 😭 any advice please x
She’s ten months and this is maybe the 4th time I’ve tried it I the last few months.

We only succeeded at 15 months - before that we tried maybe twice and it was awful!

Mine was hysterical nonstop for half an hour altogether. And it doesn’t work if they’re THAT bad! 😭 I gave up too because there was no calming down at all just was extreme levels crying like never before 🥺 I cuddle and slight rock to sleep and doesn’t take more than 3 mins so I just let it be. He’s 8 months now and I assume he’ll grow out of it eventually and I tell myself he won’t be small for long 😭 even though I could get things done and wish I was able to just put him down and walk away

I haven't done any method but once I had to use the toilet and he screamed the whole house down and threw up. We still share bed now

Toddler abusing me :((

Girrrlll, ladiess how do we deal with our toddler hitting us ? Currently my head is buzzing bc my son decided to hit me in the head with a heavy ass tub of cream , but its a non stop occurrence... Last night as we were going to sleep, all quiet , randomly BAM a heavy slap that actually burned my cheek... Ive been doing gentle parenting , saying " no, its not nice " lets be gentle like this *showing how to gently caress someone s face* ... idk what to do anymore... If I can see something coming, I'll stop it before he actually hits me ...but sometimes its just rlly random.. pls help 😔😔

Formula feeding mums

I’m a formula feeding mum never tried breast feeding as I know it would over stimulate me. Does any other formula feeding mums feel judged sometimes for not breastfeeding or even trying to breast feeding?

Do you validate your toddlers feelings all the time?

I see so many posts about validating a toddlers feelings, and curious to know if other moms agree with it or disagree. I don't agree with it because they should start learning early on their emotions should match the situation.

Normal toddler behaviour or more to it?

My son is almost 3 and so emotional over everything, he wanted his tractor pyjamas on so I put them on, then he wanted his lightening McQueen PJs on and had a full on meltdown because he was in tractors like he asked, then he asked to go outside, he went outside and cried saying he wanted inside, so he came inside then cried when I shut the door as he couldn’t go outside.

He constantly doesn’t have a clue what he actually wants, moving from toy to toy, room to room, he’s super stubborn with everything.

It’s exhausting and frustrating 😂🙈

Anyone else

Anybody else get woken up by their limited edition 4 month old pterodactyl alarm clock? My son decided at 2 and 3 as well as 4 am was a great time to use his lungs.

Nap times🥲 the joys!

So .. as a 5 month old baby you are telling me that you’re yawning, rubbing you’re eyes to tell me you’re tired so I pick you up to contact and you start smiling and giggling and deciding you no longer want to nap.
So mommy helps you out, cuddles, bum pats and shushing, but oh no.. you want to tell jokes and shout at me 😂.
But then, you become tired, very overtired, and all of a sudden it’s my fault?! I know you hate the cot, so I’ll soak up the contact naps while I can but girl don’t bite the hand that feeds you (or boob lol) you can have a nap it’s okay I am here for you!! I’ll still be here when you wake up 🤣 didn’t fancy having breakfast this morning anyways 🥲😂🤣
