What is everyone planning or done in the past when it comes to shaving downstairs for labour and delivery. And if it’s not shaven when waters have broken has anyone stopped to shave or planning on doing it. Just wondering…

I don’t think I shaved before my induction because I didn’t have time but they didn’t force me to shave either.

Dude i stopped even shaving my legs after the first trimester 🤣

I had a wax before due date

I trimmed a bit before but overall it’s whatever you wanna do, the nurses and doctors see all hair levels I’m sure

I had severe preeclampsia and went into preterm labor, which was stopped, then a week later they broke my water to induce me. I had to get my grandma to help me try to shave my legs a bit and I was sooo patchy. But from my bp we didn't dare try to push it to be perfect. So as far as the lady bits? Naw, that shit was just rocking it bushed out because I stopped shaving when I got pregnant.

My waters broke and they gave me 24 hours to go in to labour so that night I shaved

I shaved and needed episiotomy, can’t imagine having a bush while trying to stitch up down there😅took long enough as it is let alone with the hair in the way lol

i can’t imagine dealing with it growing back while postpartum that sounds miserable. is waxing an option?

I’ve never shaved anything. At all. Ever.

I personally was getting waxes pre and during pregnancy, and I waxed maybe 2 weeks before my due date.. luckily I did because I went into labour 5 days later and ended up in a c section so they didn’t need to shave me (they shave you if you haven’t) and I honestly think it helped loads x

I trimmed, cuz it bothered me but shaving is irritating

I shaved in case I had to have an emergency c-section. There was no freaking way I was letting someone else shave me.

I shaved at 36 weeks. I butchered it lol. Had to get out, and sit infront of the mirror. That was enough for me, don’t bother any further on is my advice after 2 🤪🤣

i got an emergent c-section, so the nurses shaved me... 0/10 experience, would not recommend, i got so many in-grown hairs and it was just unpleasant (cheap razers, quick job, incomplete and inconsistent)

I’m planning to keep up with my regular wax but let’s see how I feel about that later on. 12 weeks atm

My husband is officially going to take over in that arena... every week.
I just shaved and it was such a pain... Definitely the last time until after baby's here and I can reach and see stuff and things 🤣

In France they make them shave at the hospital if they come not shaved 😆😆
I had stitches so glad I shaved
