Sleep Regression.

Can someone just tell me if it gets better? I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I can deal with day time nap avoidance but I am struggling at night time. My 5 month old has been like since the 4 month mark. She was a good sleeper before this and went 3/4 hour stretches. Now she’s sleeping an hour, crying, patting her bum back to sleep in her cot, waking up not an hour later. It’s just a constant cycle.

I just want to know if your baby has experienced the sleep regression, did they ever come out of it? If so, what age?

TIA x

Yeah we’ve hit every regression going, they’re rough. Usually a few weeks in terms of time? We basically co slept as our solution until 15 months (first part of the night was always in his crib and then I’d get him after his first wake) and then suddenly he seems to be absolutely fine again x

Yes, we had it really bad from about 3.5 months. I would say it got a little better by about 6 months (waking up every 2-3 hours) but its only started to get a bit more consistently better with only 2 wake ups per night very recently (17 months). That said, we've had patches of nights that have been better between then and now, but every time we have a few good nights we seem to hit illness, teething, separation anxiety, another regression 🤷‍♀️ we've done no sleep training though and it has just improved with time. Co sleeping has been essential and I still feel to sleep and through the night!
